ごちそうさまでした

先週、私は、友達と一緒に「ワン・カルビ」の焼肉食べ放題の店に行きました。
私達は、おいしい肉と野菜をたくさん食べました。
私は、彼をもてなし、ごちそうするつもりでしたが、食事の後、私がレジに払いに行った時、彼が、すでに支払が終わっていました。
私は「ごちそうさまでした」と言いました。

次の日にも私は、もう一人の友達と一緒に「リンガーハット」に行きました。
私達は、おいしいチャンポンを食べ、私は大好きな餃子も食べました。私は自分の食事代を支払うつもりでしたが、友達が支払って下さいました。私は「ごちそうさまでした」と言いました。
２回とも支払うつもりでしたが、友達が全部支払って下さったので、私は全く支払う必要がありませんでした。

後で、ごちそうして下さった二人の友達の事を考えていた時、私は「Jesus Paid It All」と言う聖歌を思い出しました。 この聖歌は、Elvina Hall と言う女性によって書かれました。
ある日曜日、牧師のすごく長い祈りの途中、彼女はイエス様が全ての人々の救いのために支払って下さった代価を思い巡らしました。これは、その日に彼女が書いた言葉です。
「Jesus paid it all, all to him I owe; Sin had left a crimson stain, He washed it white as snow.」
イエス様は全部を支払って下さいました。全ては、イエス様のおかげです。罪は赤い染みを残しました。イエス様は、それを洗って、雪のようにして下さいました。

私達は、食事代を支払って下さる友達に「ごちそうさまでした」と言います。英語で言うと、「Thank you for the delicious meal」となります。
救いの代価を支払って下さったイエス様にも「ごちそうさまでした」と言いましょう。
「Thank you for your wonderful salvation.」

「キリストは、すべての人の贖いの代価として、
ご自身をお与えになりました。」

　GOCHISOOSAMA DESHITA　　

On Monday of last week I went to a restaurant called ONE KALBI with a friend. It’s an all-you-can-eat yakiniku restaurant. We ate a lot of delicious meat and vegetables. I intended to pay for his meal, but after the meal, when I went to the register to pay, I found out that he had already paid it all. I said to him, “Gochisoosama deshita.”

The next day I went to a restaurant called RINGER HUT with a friend. We ate deliciou but my frie s chanpon. I also ate some of the delicious gyouza that I love. I intended to pay for my own meal, but my friend paid for it. I said to him, “Gochisoosama deshita.” Both times I intended to pay, nds paid it all, so there was no need for me to pay.

Later, when I was thinking about my friends who paid for my meals, I remembered a hymn entitled Jesus Paid It All. This hymn was written by a lady named Elvina Hall. One Sunday, during the pastor’s very long prayer, she began to ponder the price that Jesus paid for the salvation of all people. This is the song she wrote that day:

Jesus paid it all, all to Him I owe
Sin had left a crimson stain, He washed it white as snow.

We say “Gochisoosama deshita.” to a friend who paid for our meal. If we say “Gochisoosama deshita” in English, it is, “Thank you for the delicious meal.” Let’s also say “Gochisoosama deshita” to Jesus who paid the price for our salvation. “Thank you for your wonderful salvation.”

Jesus gave Himself a ransom for all.
