￥１,０００のジャケット

家の近くに大きいサイズの服を売っている店があるので、私はその店にジャケットを買いに行き、 気に入ったジャケットが２着ありました。２着を着てみて、私は１着を選びました。その時、店の人が言いました。
「ちょうど今、セール中なので、1着ジャケットを買うと、もう１着は￥1,000で買う事ができますよ！」この事を聞いた私は、嬉しくなって、もう１着を￥1,000でジャケットを買う事が出来ました。

人がイエス・キリストを自分の個人的な救い主として信じる時、同じ様な事が起こります。もちろん、その人は自分の罪の罰から救われます。

聖書に「主イエスを信じなさい。そうすれば、あなたは救われます。」（使徒の働き16:31）と書いてあります。
イエス・キリストを信じる人の罪は全部赦されます。
しかし、キリストを信じる祝福は罪の赦しだけではありません。

キリストを信じる人は、平安も受入れます。
キリストは言われました。
「わたしは、あなたがたに平安を残します。わたしは、あなたがたにわたしの平安を与えます。わたしがあなたがたに与えるのは、世が与えるのとは違います。あなたがたは心を騒がしてはなりません。恐れてはなりません。」
ヨハネの福音書14:27

キリストを信じる人は積極的に生きる力も受入れます。
聖書のピリピ人への手紙4:13に
「私は、私を強くしてくださる方（キリスト）によって、どんなことでもできるのです。」と書いてあります。

キリストを信じる人は、神様の子供になる特権も受入れます。
ヨハネの福音書1:12によると、キリストを信じる人は私にとって、もう１着のジャケットを￥1,000だけで買う事は、とても良いバーゲンでした。

しかし、キリストを信じる信仰によって罪の赦しも、平安も積極的に生きる力も、神様の子供になる特権も、無料で受け入れる事は最高のバーゲンではありませんか。

　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　

The ￥1,000 Jacket　　　

Near my home there is a store that sells large-size clothing, so I went there to buy a jacket. There were two jackets that I liked. After trying on both of them, I chose one of the jackets. Then the sales clerk said to me, “We’re having a sale right now. If you buy a jacket, you can buy one more jacket for only ￥1,000.” When I heard this, I became very happy and bought one more jacket for only ￥1,000.

When a person believes in Jesus Christ as his personal Savior, the same kind of thing happens. Of course, that person is saved from the penalty of sin. In the Bible it is written,
Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved. (Acts 16:31) All of the sins of the person who believes in Christ will be forgiven. But that’s not all.

The person who believes in Christ receives peace too. Christ said, Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. (John 14:27)

The person who believes in Christ also receives the power to live a positive life. In Philippians 4:13 it is written, I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

The person who believes in Christ also receives the privilege of being a child of God too. According to John 1:12, But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name:

To me, being able to buy another jacket for only ￥1,000 was a very good bargain. However, isn’t freely receiving forgiveness of sin and peace and the power to live a positive life and the privilege of becoming a child of God through faith in Jesus Christ the greatest bargain of all?
