おもしろいと思いませんか。

あなたは、どちらを選びますか？　
若者なら、人生の間違いは、まだそんなに沢山ないので、お金を選ぶでしょう。 しかし、40歳以上の人は考えさせられます。もちろん、誰でも百万ドルが欲しいでしょう。
しかし、自分の人生の過去の間違い、失敗や罪を全部、帳消しにしてもらう事に百万ドル以上の価値があるかも知れません。
あの時の間違い、失敗や罪がなかったら、自分の人生はどれ程変わっていたでしょうか。

クリスチャンである人は、この選択についてちっとも悩みません。お金お選びます。なぜなら、聖書によると人がイエス・キリストを自分の個人的な救い主として信じて受けいれる時、自分の全ての罪が赦されます。

「私たちは、この御子のうちにあって、御子の血による贖い、すなわち罪の赦しを受けているのです。これは神の豊かな恵みによることです。」エペソ人への手紙１:７

「御子イエスの血はすべての罪から私たちをきよめます。」Ⅰヨハネの手紙１:７

「もし、私たちが自分の罪を言い表わすなら、神は真実で正しい方ですから、その罪を赦し、すべての悪から私たちをきよめてくださいます。」Ⅰヨハネの手紙１:９

イザヤ書43:25で、神様は、この素晴らしい約束をして下さいました。
「わたし、このわたしは、わたし自身のためにあなたのそむきの罪をぬぐい去り、もうあなたの罪を思い出さない。」

百万ドルをもらいますか？　
自分の人生の過去の間違い、失敗や罪を帳消しにしてもらいますか？　
クリスチャンは両方をもらう事ができます。

    

AN INTERESTING QUESTION 

This question was posted on Facebook: “Which of these would you choose? Receiving a million dollars or having all of the past mistakes in your life erased?”
Don’t you think it is an interesting question?

Which would you choose? If you are young, you probably have not made that many mistakes in your life, so you would choose the money. However, this choice would not be easy for a person over the age of forty. Of course, anyone wants a million dollars. However, if a person could have all of the past mistakes, failures, and sins erased, how different his life might be.

A Christian would not fret over this choice for a second. He would choose the money, because according to the Bible, when a person believes in Jesus Christ and receives Christ as his personal Savior, all of his sins are forgiven.

In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace.
(Ephesians 1:7)

The blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin. (First John 1:7)

If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. (First John 1:9)

In Isaiah 43:25 God made this wonderful promise: I, even I, am He who blots out your transgressions for My own sake; and I will not remember your sins.

Would you receive the million dollars or would you have all of your past mistakes, failures, and sins erased? A Christian can have both.

毎日、私の朝食は同じです。トースト・ヨーグルト・オレンジジュース・小さなウインナー２本です。
まず私は、パンにバターを付けて、それをトースターに入れて３分位焼きます。トーストが出来上がって、ソーセージを電子レンジで１分位温めます。
ある朝、トーストが出来上がって、電子レンジのスイッチを入れました。「チ～ン」という音が聞こえたので、電子レンジの扉を開けてビックルしました。電子レンジの中は空っぽでした。
私は、ウインナーを入れるのを忘れていたのでした。
空っぽの電子レンジの前に立っていた私は、この世の多くの人々の姿を表わしていると思います。
彼等は、心を満たすものを求めていますが心は、我が家の空っぽの電子レンジに似ています。

聖書の伝道者の書2章にソロモンの事が書いてあります。
ソロモンは、次のものから本当の喜びを求めました。

知恵（3節）、ワイン（3節）、仕事（４節）、家（４節）、
自然（５～６節）、財産（７節）、銀と金（８節）、音楽（８節）

10節で彼は言いました。
「私は、私の目の欲するものは何でも拒まず、心のおもむくままに、あらゆる楽しみをした。」

そして、ソロモンは心を満たすものを見つける事が出来たでしょうか？
いいえ、11節で彼の悲しい言葉が書いてあります。
「しかし、私が手がけたあらゆる事業と、そのために私が骨折った労苦とを振り返ってみると、なんと、すべてがむなしいことよ。風を追うようなものだ。」

いろんな物事を通して心を満たす事を探したソロモンは、
伝道者の書12章13節で自分の結論を書きました。
「結局のところ、もうすべてが聞かされていることだ。
神を恐れよ。神の命令を守れ。これが人間にとってすべてである。」

やはり、人間の心を満たす事が出来るのは、ソロモンをお創りになった唯一の神様です。今、自分の人生が空の電子レンジの様になっている皆さん、神様を求めて下さい。

「主をおのれの喜びとせよ。主はあなたの心の願いをかなえてくださる。あなたの道を主にゆだねよ。主に信頼せよ。主が成し遂げてくださる。」詩篇37:4～5

　　　
THE EMPTY MICROWAVE  

I eat the same thing for breakfast every day – a piece of toast, yogurt, two small sausages, and orange juice. First, I butter the bread and put it in the toaster oven for about three minutes. After the toast is done, I cook the sausages in the microwave for about a minute.

One morning, after the toast was done, I turned on the microwave. When I heard the chin sound, I opened the microwave and was surprised. The microwave was empty. I forgot to put in the sausage.
The image of me standing before an empty microwave is the image of many people in the world. They are seeking something that will bring them fulfillment, but their hearts resemble my empty microwave.

The story of Solomon is written in chapter 2 of Ecclesiastes. He tried to find joy through the following things: wisdom (verse 3), wine (4), work (4), a home (4), nature (5-6), possessions (7), silver and gold (8), and music (8).
In verse 10 he wrote, Whatever my eyes desired I did not keep from them. I did not withhold my heart from any pleasure.

Well, did Solomon find something that would satisfy his heart? No. In verse 11 he wrote, Then I looked on all the works that my hands had done and on the labor in which I had toiled; and indeed all was vanity and grasping for the wind. There was no profit under the sun.

Solomon, who tried to find something that would satisfy his heart through various things, wrote his conclusion in 12:13: Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God and keep His commandments.

The one and only thing that can fulfill the heart of a man is the God who created man. If at the present time your life is like an empty microwave, seek the Lord.

Delight yourself also in the Lord, and He shall give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the Lord, trust also in Him, and He shall bring it to pass.
(Psalm 37:4-5)

先月、後半は天候が悪く、とても寒い日が続きました。そして氷点下の日もありました。

私の家には、暖房が付いているのは、一部屋だけです。
エアコンを25℃にセットして、仕事を始めました。しかし、部屋は全く暖かくなりませんでした。
寒さで震えている私は、分厚い毛布を体に巻いて、部屋が暖くなるのを待ちました。
部屋はあまり暖かくなりませんでした。困り果てた私は、温度を30℃にセットして待ちましたが部屋は、まだ寒い状態でした。

私は、不思議に思いました。「最近まで、よく動いていたエアコンはどうしたのかな～、故障だろうか？」 その時、私は一つの事を思い出しました。ほとんどフィルターの掃除をしていないのでした。
早速フィルターの掃除をしてみました。なんと、部屋は急に暖かくなりました。

気をつけないと、クリスチャンの信仰生活も寒い部屋の様になるかも知れません。
主との関係は、だんだん冷めていきます。
もはや主との暖かい交わりがありません。こんな時、主との親しい関係を取り戻すためにどうしたら良いでしょうか。

掃除をしなければなりません。心の掃除です。
心に自分がまだ主に告白していない罪、まだ主に赦して戴いていない罪があれば、その罪を取り除く掃除をしなければなりません。
その罪を認めて、そして、その罪を悔い改めるクリスチャンは、再び主との暖かい交わりを持つ事ができるのです。

「愛する者たち。いっさいの霊肉の汚れから自分をきよめ、神を恐れかしこんで聖きを全うしようではありませんか。」
Ⅱコリント人への手紙7:1

今、あなたと主の関係は、暖かい関係ですか？
あるいは、私の家の寒い部屋のようになっていませんか？
もしそうであれば、この祈りを通して心の掃除をしましょう。

「神よ。御恵みによって、私に情けをかけ、あなたの豊かなあわれみによって、私のそむきの罪をぬぐい去ってください。 どうか私の咎を、私から全く洗い去り、私の罪から、私をきよめてください。」

　THE USELESS HEATER　

The weather became quite cold during the last part of last month. Some days the temperature was below zero.
In my house there is only one room that has a heater. I set the temperature to 25 C. (77 F.) and started to work, but the room did not warm up.

I wrapped a thick blanket around my shivering body and waited for the room to become warm, but it did not warm up much. I set the heater to 30 C. (86 F.) and waited, but the room was still cold.

I wondered, “What happened to my heater that had been working so well? Maybe it is broken.” Just then I remembered something. I had not cleaned the filter for quite some time. I immediately cleaned the filter, and the room warmed up right away.

If we are not careful, our Christian life may become like a cold room. Our relationship with the Lord may slowly cool down. We no longer have warm fellowship with the Lord. When this happens, what can we do to restore our warm relationship with the Lord?

We have to do some cleaning. We have to clean our heart. If there is unconfessed sin in our heart, sin that we have yet to ask the Lord to forgive, we must do some cleaning that will remove that sin. The Christian who admits his sin and repents of that sin is the Christian who can once again have warm fellowship with the Lord.

Beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.
(Second Corinthians 7:1)

At the present time, is your relationship with the Lord a warm relationship, or has it become like the cold room in my house? If so, clean your heart through this prayer.

Have mercy upon me, O God, according to Your lovingkindness; according to the multitude of Your tender mercies, blot out my transgressions. Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin.
(Psalm 51:1-2)
