これを読むと、皆さんは驚くかも知れませんが、私はプロレスの大ファンです。
毎週アメリカの２番組のプロレスを録画して熱心に見ています。
もちろん、そのレスリングがショーだと分かっています。
私にとって、その２番組はドラマの様なものです。

先日、私は初めてプロレスの選手に出会いました。
本当の事を言うと、彼はプロパンガスの会社に勤めています。
点検のために家に来た彼は突然「仕事をしていない時、私はプロレスをしています」と告白しました。
私がプロレスの大ファンだと知ったら、彼は携帯の写真を取り出して得意技を見せてくれて私を次回の試合に招待してくれました。
その日をとても楽しみにしています。

これを読むと、皆さんはもっと驚くかも知れませんが、私もレスリングをしています。本当です。実は、全てのクリスチャンもレスリングをしています。エペソ人への手紙6:12に
「私たちの格闘は血肉に対するものではなく、主権、力、この暗やみの世界の支配者たち、また、天にいるもろもろの悪霊に対するものです。」と書いてあります。

「格闘」という言葉に注目して下さい。
英語の聖書には「Wrestle」と書いてあります。

クリスチャンはレスリングをしています。しかし私達のレスリングは台本通りのドラマではありません。主権・力・この暗闇の世界の支配者達また、天にいるもろもろの悪霊との本当のレスリングです。勝利を得るために、私達はエペソ人への手紙6:14-17に書いてある武具を身に着けなければなりません。

カウント1・2・3とフォールされる事がない様に、神様の全ての武具を身に着け、主にあって、その大能の力によって強められましょう。

MY MEETING WITH THE PRO WRESTLER　

When you read this, you may be surprised, but I am a fan of pro wrestling. Every week I record two American pro wrestling programs and watch them eagerly. Of course, I understand that it is not real wrestling. To me, those two programs are like dramas.
The other day I met a pro wrestler for the first time. Actually, he works for a propane gas company. When he came to my house to inspect my gas appliances, suddenly he said, “When I am not working, I am a pro wrestler.” When he found out that I am a fan of pro wrestling, he took out his cell phone and showed me his favorite move.
He is going to invite me to his next match, so I am looking forward to it very much.
When you read this, you may be even more surprised, but I am a wrestler too. It’s true. In fact, all Christians are wrestlers. In Ephesians 6:12 it is written,
For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

All Christians are wrestlers. However, our wrestling is not a scripted drama. It is actual wrestling with principalities, powers, the rulers of the darkness of this world and spiritual wickedness in high places. In order to be victorious, we must put on the armor of God written in Ephesians 6:14-17.

In order that we don’t get pinned 1-2-3, let’s put on the whole armor of God and be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might.
