あいにく私と台風９号は、同じ日に東京に行きました。
東京に近づくまで晴れでしたが突然、飛行機は雲に囲まれました。
ずっと雲の中を飛んだ飛行機は、かなり揺れる様になりました。
その時パイロットの声が聞こえました。
「今から揺れる事が多いかも知れませんが、この飛行機は安全です。安心して下さい」次の数十分の間、このアナアウンスが繰り返しありました。
「この飛行機は安全です。安心して下さい」
無事に到着する事を祈っていた私は飛行機のモニターから目を離さず ずっと雲しか見えませんでした。すると突然、雲が消えて、飛行場がモニターに現れました。
飛行機が無事に到着した時、多くの乗客は拍車しました。

時々クリスチャンの生活は雲の中を飛んでいる飛行機に似ています。私達はずっと困難や試練に囲まれます。毎日、心が不安と恐れに満ちている生活です。ちょうど私達が、もう耐えられないと思う時、クリスチャン生活のパイロットである主の声が聞こえます。

「わたしがこれらのことをあなたがたに話したのは、あなたがたがわたしにあって平安をもつためです。あなたがたは、世にあってはカン難があります。しかし、勇敢でありなさい。わたしはすでに世に勝ったのです。」
ヨハネの福音書16:33

今あなたの生活は、雲の中の生活ですか。あなたは、何日も何日も続いている雲がいつ終わるかと不安ではありませんか。あなたのパイロットに信頼して安心して下さい。雲を突破する日が来ます。その時、飛行機のパイロットに拍手した乗客と同じ様に、あなたは自分のパイロットを褒め称えます。

「私は苦しみの中に主を呼び求め、助けを求めてわが神に叫んだ。主はその宮で私の声を聞かれ、御前に助けを求めた私の叫びは、御耳みに届いた。それゆえ、主よ。私は、国々の中であなたをほめたやえ、あなたの御名を、ほめ歌います。」詩篇18:6，49

　　　　

IN THE CLOUDS　　

Unfortunately the typhoon and I decided to go to Tokyo on the same day. It was clear until we approached Tokyo, but suddenly the plane was surrounded by clouds.

For some time the plane continued to fly in the clouds and then the turbulence began. Just then we heard the pilot’s voice. “From here there may be a lot of turbulence, but the plane is safe. Please be at ease.” In the next several minutes we heard this announcement several times. “The plane is safe. Please be at ease.”

Praying for safety, I fastened my eyes on the airplane monitor, but for some time all that I could see was clouds. Suddenly the clouds disappeared and the airport appeared on the monitor. When the plane landed safely, many of the passengers applauded.

Sometimes the Christian life resembles a plane flying in the clouds. For a long time we are surrounded by adversity and trials. Day after day our hearts are filled with anxiety and fear. Just when we think we cannot endure any more, we hear the voice of the Lord our Pilot.
These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.”
(John 16:33)

Are you in the clouds right now? Are you wondering when the clouds that continue day after day will end? Please trust in your Pilot and be at ease. The day will come when you break through the clouds. At that time, just like the passengers that applauded the pilot, you will give praise to your Pilot.

In my distress I called upon the LORD, and cried unto my God; he heard my voice out of his temple, and my cry came before him, even unto his ears. Therefore will I give thanks unto thee, O LORD, among the heathen, and sing praises unto thy name.
