買い物の苦労 !?

私は、シャツを買いに行きました。
店に入ったら「Buy1, get2 free」と書いてあったので、とても嬉しく思いました。
しかし、シャツは1,０００着位陳列されてあるし、サイズはバラバラで自分のサイズと気にいった３着のシャツを見つけるのに、１時間もかけて探さなければなりませんでした。
その後、靴を買いに行きました。私の右足は左足より１３㎜ほど短いので右の靴のかかとを高くする「リフト」を改良できる特殊な靴を買わなければなりません。
最初の店は「そんな修理は出来ません」と言われました。
そして、その靴屋が紹介してくれた次の店に行くと「修理が出来ますが、靴は売っていません」と言われました
その方が紹介してくれた次の店に行きました。
３番目の店で特殊な靴を買う事が出来たが、私が希望する改善修理をする事は出来ませんでした。
最後に、彼の紹介で、その靴を改善修理してくれる店に持って行く事が出来きました。

靴を買うために私は４件の店をハシゴしなければなりませんでした！

もし、私達が買いたい物を探すのと同じ熱心さで聖書にある知恵と知識を探せば、私達は大いに祝福されるし、霊的に成長します。

聖書の箴言に書いてあります。
「わが子よ。もしあなたが、私のことばを受け入れ、私の命令をあなたのうちにたくわえ、あなたの耳を知恵に傾け、あなたの心を英知に向けるなら、もしあなたが悟りを呼び求め、英知を求めて声をあげ、銀のように、これを探し、隠された宝のように、これを探し出すなら、そのとき、あなたは、主を恐れることを悟り、神の知識を見いだそう。」
箴言2:1-5

マタイの福音書7:7に書いてあります。
「探しなさい。そうすれば見つかります」

　　　　

SHOPPING TROUBLE　　

I went shopping for shirts. When I entered the store, I saw a sign that said, “Buy 1, Get two free,” so I was very happy. However, there were about 1000 shirts and the sizes were all mixed up, so it took me about one hour to find three shirts that I liked in my size.

After that, I went shopping for shoes. My right leg is about one-half inch shorter than my left leg, so I have to buy special shoes that can have a lift inserted. The first store that I went to said that they could not do the repair.

Next, I went to a store recommended to me by the first store. They said they could do the repair, but the store did not sell shoes.

Next, I went to a store recommended by the second store. I was able to buy the special shoes there, but they said that they could not do the repair.

Finally I took the shoes to a store recommended by the third store and had the repair done there. In order to buy shoes, I had to go to four stores.

If we searched for the wisdom and knowledge that is in the Bible with the same zealousness that we search for the things we want to buy, we would be greatly blessed and we would grow spiritually.

In Proverbs 2:1-5 it is written:
My son, if thou wilt receive my words, and hide my commandments with thee, So that thou incline thine ear unto wisdom, and apply thine heart to understanding; Yea, if thou criest after knowledge, and liftest up thy voice for understanding; If thou seekest her as silver, and searchest for her as for hid treasures; Then shalt thou understand the fear of the LORD, and find the knowledge of God.

Seek, and ye shall find. (Matthew 7:7)
