真理のサポーター

最近、腰に痛みがあったので、アメリカにいる間に、私は医者の診察を受けて、関節炎と診断されました。
アメリカに帰った時は、治療をする時間がなかったので、日本に帰って早速、整形外科病院に行きました。病院の先生は私に嫌な治療を勧めました。「まず、サポーターを着けましょうね」
そうです。これから私はサポーターを腰に着けなければなりません。
嫌な事です。

聖書によると全てのクリスチャンはサポーターを腰に締めるべきです。
エペソ人への手紙6:10で私達に「主にあって、その大能の力によって強められなさい。」と言われています。

その後、強められて悪魔の策略に対して立ち向かう事が出来るように私達は神の武具を身に着ける様に言われています。
（エペソ人への手紙6:11-13）

エペソ人への手紙6:14節～18節まで武具の説明がありますが、驚くべき事に、私達は最初に腰に「真理の帯」を締める様に言われています。
やはり、人を欺く悪魔の悪賢い策略から自分を守るために、クリスチャンはまず心理を知る必要があります。
もちろん、心理を知る方法は聖書を読む事です。
ヨハネの福音書17:17でキリストは「神の言葉が心理です」と言われました。
クリスチャンは毎日悪魔に立ち向かわなければなりません。
勝利を得るクリスチャンは忠実に神の言葉を読んで、心理の帯を締めるクリスチャンです。

現在、自分が霊的に弱くなってきた事を感じているクリスチャンに私は聖書を読む事をお勧めします。
これから腰を守るためにサポーターを締めなければならない私と同じ様に、毎朝家を出る前に、信仰を守るために真理のサポーターを身に着けましょう。

　　　　

THE SUPPORTER OF TRUTH　　

I had some pain in my back, so while I was in America, I had a doctor examine me. I was diagnosed with arthritis. I did not have time to receive any treatment in America, so after I returned to Japan, I went to an orthopedic clinic right away. The doctor recommended a treatment to me that I did not like. He said, “First, try wearing a Supporter.” It is true. From now on I must wear a Supporter. I am not happy about that.

According to the Bible, all Christians should wear something that resembles a Supporter. In Ephesians 6:10 we are told to be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. After that, we are told to put on the armor of God in order to be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. (6:11-13)

In verses 14-18 there is a description of the armor. Surprisingly, the first armor that we are told to put on is the girdle of truth (having your loins girt about with truth). In order to protect himself from the cunning craftiness of the devil, first of all the Christian needs to know the truth.

Of course, the method of knowing truth is reading the Bible. In John 17:17 Jesus said that God’s Word is truth. Every day the Christian has to stand against the devil. The Christian who gains the victory is the Christian who faithfully reads the Word of God and puts on the girdle of truth.

If you sense that you have become weak spiritually, I recommend reading the Bible to you. Just as I have to wear a Supporter now to protect my back, every morning before we leave the house, let’s put on the Supporter of truth to protect our faith.
