聖書の地獄と別府の地獄

先日、私は友達と一緒に別府の地獄めぐりに行きました。
確かに別府の地獄は聖書の中で教えられている地獄に似ている所があります。池の水の温度は100℃以上です。本当の火の池です。
また、硫黄の臭いが強い所もあります。（黙示録20:10～15）

しかし、聖書の地獄と別府の地獄には二つの大きな違いがあります。まず別府の地獄には出口があります。七つの池には入口も出口もあります。地獄に行く前に私の友達は聞きました。
「帰って来る事ができますか？」
別府の地獄なら行って帰る事ができます。しかし、聖書の地獄には入口しかありません。キリストにある救いを拒んで地獄に行く人は地獄を出る事が出来ません。

ルカの福音書16:26でキリストは、地獄に行った人に言われました。
「そればかりでなく、私たちとおまえたちの間には、大きな淵があります。ここからそちらへ渡ろうとしても、渡れないし、そこからこちらへ越えて来ることもできないのです。」

また、黙示録14:11によると、地獄に行く人達の苦しみは永遠の苦しみです。
聖書の地獄と別府の地獄にもう一つの大きな違いがあります。私と友達は別府の七つの地獄を巡りましたが、何処に行っても観光客は楽しんでいました。彼らは写真を撮ったり、食べたり、飲んだり、笑ったりしていました。
しかし、聖書の地獄に行く人達はその様な事を一切しません。
逆にマタイの福音書25:30によると彼等は泣いて歯ぎしりします。

もし、別府の地獄に行く機会があれば、ぜひ行って下さい。とても面白い所です。そして、私は心からお願いします。聖書の地獄に行かないで下さい。その恐ろしい場所からあなたを救うために十字架の上であなたの受けるべき罰を代わりに受けて死んで下さったキリストを信じて下さい。

　　　　

THE BIBLE HELL AND BEPPU’S HELL

Last Monday a friend and I went to a place called Hell in Beppu. The Hell in Beppu definitely resembles the Hell described in the Bible. The temperature of the water in the pond is 100 degrees. It is a real lake of fire. Also, here and there the smell of brimstone (sulfur) was strong. (Revelation 20:12-15)

However, there are two big differences between the Hell of the Bible and the Hell in Beppu. First of all, there are exits in the Hell in Beppu. There are entrances and exits in all seven of the Hells. Before we went to Beppu, my friend asked, “Will we be able to come back?” In the case of the Hell in Beppu, you can go and come back. However, in the Hell of the Bible, there is only an entrance. The person who rejects the salvation that is in Christ and goes to Hell cannot leave Hell.

In Luke 16:26 Christ spoke these words to a man who went to Hell.
Between us and you there is a great gulf fixed: so that they which would pass from hence to you cannot: neither can they pass to us, that would come from thence.
Also, according to Revelation 14:11, the torment of the people in Hell is everlasting torment.

There is another big difference between the Bible Hell and the Hell in Beppu. My friend and I went around to all of the seven Hells in Beppu, and wherever we went, people were having a good time. They were taking pictures, eating, drinking, and laughing. However, the people who go to the Bible Hell will not do any of those things. According to Matthew 25:30, they will weep and gnash their teeth.

If you ever have the chance to go to the Hell in Beppu, please go. It is an interesting place. However, I plead with you with all of my heart. Please do not go to the Bible Hell. Instead, believe in Christ who received the penalty for your sins and died on the cross to save you from that awful place.
