先日、沖縄に行く時、とてもおもしろい事がありました。
ANAのカウンターで搭乗手続きした時、私の名前をコンピューターに入れた女性は驚いた顔をしました。 彼女は言いました。「コンピューターによると、あなたは４歳です」笑いながら、私は答えました。
「私はもっと若くなりたいけど、４歳にはなりたくありません」
私の本当の年齢を聞いてから、彼女はコンピューターの情報を更新して、搭乗券を下さいました。
くすくすと笑ながらゲートの方に行く途中考えました。
“7人孫がいる74歳のおじいちゃんが４歳になりました”

聖書の中にも、年をとっていたのに、まだ幼子の様であった人々の事が書いてあります。

Ⅰコリント人への手紙3:1-2にパウロはコリントの信者達についてこう書きました。
「兄弟たちよ。私は、あなたがたに向かって、御霊に属する人に対するようには話すことができないで、肉に属する人、キリストにある幼子に対するように話しました。 私はあなたがたには乳を与えて、堅い食物を与えませんでした。あなたがたには、まだ無理だったからです。実は、今でもまだ無理なのです。」

また、ヘブル人への手紙5:12にパウロは同じ様な事を書きました。
「あなたがたは年数からすれば教師になっていなければならないにもかかわらず、神のことばの初歩をもう一度だれかに教えてもらう必要があるのです。あなたがたは堅い食物ではなく、乳を必要とするようになっています。」

何十年も前にキリストを信じたのに、まだ霊的に幼子のクリスチャンはエペソ人への手紙4:14-15に注目すべきです。
「それは、私たちがもはや、子どもではなくて、人の悪巧みや、人を欺く悪賢い策略により、教えの風に吹き回されたり、波にもてあそばれたりすることがなく、 むしろ、愛をもって真理を語り、あらゆる点において成長し、かしらなるキリストに達することができるためなのです。」

今、神様のコンピューターによると、あなたは何歳ですか。

　　　　

THE 4-YEAR-OLD GRANDFATHER　

When I went to Okinawa the other day, a funny thing happened. When I checked in at the ANA counter, the girl who put my name into the computer had a startled face. She said, “According to the computer, you are four years old.” Laughing, I replied, “I want to be younger, but I do not want to be four years old.”

After hearing my true age, the girl changed the information in the computer and gave me my boarding pass. Still smiling as I walked toward the gate, I was thinking, “I who am a 74-year-old grandfather with seven grandchildren became four years old.”

The Bible too speaks of people who, although they were up in years, were still like small children. In First Corinthians 3:1-2 Paul wrote this about the believers in Corinth:
And I, brethren, could not speak to you as to spiritual people but as to carnal, as to babes in Christ. I fed you with milk and not with solid food; for until now you were not able to receive it, and even now you are still not able.

Paul wrote similar words in Hebrews 5:12:
For though by this time you ought to be teachers, you need someone to teach you again the first principles of the oracles of God; and you have come to need milk and not solid food.

Christians who were saved many years ago but are still small children spiritually should take notice of the words written in Ephesians 4:14-15.
that we should no longer be children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting, but, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head—Christ.
