    JET LAG2

Have you ever had jet lag? It is said that 94% of people of fly in an airplane that crosses several time zones will have jet lag.
I have it every time I return to America. When I get off the plane, I am very tired, so I think, “I will sleep well tonight,” but I wake up at two or three o’clock in the morning, and then from noon I become more and more sleepy. Some people recover quickly, but in my case, the jet lag condition often lasts more than a week.

If he is careless, a Christian may have spiritual jet lag. According to Colossians 1:12-13, Christians have been delivered from the power of darkness and placed in the light. In Ephesians 5:8 it is written,
For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light.

However, if we are not careful, it is possible that our soul will have spiritual jet lag. When that happens, day and night, light and darkness are reversed. What kind of life is the life of a Christian who has spiritual jet lag? It is a life of revelry, drunkenness, lewdness, lust, strife, and envy. (Romans 13:13)

To avoid spiritual jet lag, let us cast off the works of darkness and put on the armor of light. (Romans 13:12)

There may be no method of preventing jet lag, but there is a method of preventing spiritual jet lag.
Ye are all the children of light, and children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness. Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober. For they that sleep sleep in the night; and they that be drunken are drunken in the night. But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation.
(First Thessalonians 5:5-8)
