私は、英会話のクラスに来ている婦人から面白い話を聞きました。
昔、一人の将軍は奥さんととても美しい娘と一緒に住んでいました。
ある時、奥さんは死にました。後に将軍は再婚しました。
しかし、将軍の娘はあんまりにも美しい女性だったので、継母が先妻の娘の美しさを妬んでいました。
ある晩、娘が寝ている時に、将軍の奥さんは彼女の部屋に入って枕元に濡れている漁師の衣を置きました。
翌朝その衣を見つけた時、漁師との関係を誤解した父が怒って娘を殺してしまった。

この話から「濡れ衣を着せる」という表現が出てきました。
無罪な人を有罪にすると言う意味です。
この話を聞いた時、私はすぐにイエス・キリストの事を思い出しました。

聖書によると「キリストは一度も罪を犯しませんでした」
ヘブル人への手紙4:15

ローマの政府がキリストの裁判を開いた時、ピラト総督はキリストの取り調べを行ないました。
彼の判決はルカの福音書23章に3回も書いてあります。

「この人には何の罪も見つからない。」
ルカの福音書23：4

「私があなたがたの前で取り調べたところ、あなたがたが訴えているような罪は別に何も見つかりません。」
ルカの福音書23：14

「あの人がどんな悪いことをしたというのか。あの人には、死に当たる罪は、何も見つかりません。」
ルカの福音書23：22

そうです。キリストには何の罪もありませんでした。
彼らはキリストに「濡れ衣を着せました」聖書によると、キリストが十字架の上で死なれたのは自分自身の罪のためではなくて、私達の罪のためでした。

「自分から十字架の上で、私たちの罪をその身に負われました。それは、私たちが罪を離れ、義のために生きるためです。キリストの打ち傷のゆえに、あなたがたは、いやされたのです。」Ⅰペテロの手紙2:24

　　　　

NUREGINU (Wet Clothes)

I heard an interesting story from a lady who comes to my English class. There was a war lord who lived with his wife and extremely beautiful daughter. One day, the wife died. Later, the war lord remarried. However, because the daughter was so beautiful, the war lord’s new wife hated her.

One night, when her stepdaughter was sleeping, the stepmother crept into the room and laid the wet clothes of a fisherman near her stepdaughter’s bed. When the war lord found the wet clothes the next morning, he mistakenly thought his daughter was having an affair with the fisherman. He became angry and killed her.

Out of this story came the expression “nureginu o kiseru” which literally means “to put wet clothes on someone.” The real meaning of the word as it is used today is “to accuse someone falsely.”

When I heard this story, I immediately remembered the story of Jesus Christ. According to the Bible, He did not commit even one sin.
(Hebrews 4:15)
When the Roman government held the trial of Christ, a governor named Pilate conducted the investigation. His verdict is written three times in chapter 23 of Luke’s Gospel.

I find no fault in this man. (Verse 4)
And indeed, having examined Him in your presence, I have found no fault in this Man concerning those things of which you accuse Him. (Verse 14)
I have found no reason for death in Him. (Verse 22)

It is true. Christ was sinless. They “put wet clothes on Christ.” When He died on the cross, He died not for His own sins but for our sins.
Who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness--by whose stripes you were healed.
