二つの道

10月22日にイタリアのヴェニスで行われたマラソン大会での途中、思いがけない事が起こりました。そのコースには23㎞の地点で分岐する道路がありました。
ランナーを先導していたバイクは間違って直進にして行きました。
そして先頭の有名な６名のプロランナーはバイクについて行きました。
イタリア人ランナーのEyob Fanielは１分ほど遅れてトップグループの後方を走っていました。分岐点に着いた時、彼は左を選択しました。左は正しい道だったのでEyob Fanielは優勝しました。
今まで、ほとんどマラソンの経験がなかったEyob Fanielは正しい道を選択したので優勝する事ができました。

聖書によると、人生のマラソンにも２つの道があります。
マタイの福音書7:13-14にキリストはその２つの道について語りました。
「狭い門から入りなさい。滅びに至る門は大きく、その道は広いからです。
そして、そこから入って行く者が多いのです。 いのちに至る門は小さく、その道は狭く、それを見いだす者はまれです。」
全ての人々はこの２つの道のどちらかを選択しなければなりません。滅びに至る道、つまり地獄に行く道があります。それとは反対に、命に至る道、つまり天国に行く道があります。

ヨハネの福音書14:6によると、キリスト御自身は命に至る道です。キリストは言われました。
「わたしが道であり、真理であり、いのちなのです。わたしを通してでなければ、だれひとり父のみもとに来ることはありません。」

今まで滅びに至る道に入っている皆さん、１日も早くキリストを信じて、命に至る道に入って下さい。キリスト以外の道は死に至る道です。

聖書に２回もこの警告が書いてあります。
「人の目にはまっすぐに見える道がある。その道の終わりは死の道である。」箴言14:12と16:25

　　　　 

TWO WAYS 

An unforeseen incident took place during the Venice Marathon held in Italy on the 23rd of last month. At the 23-kilometer point, there is a fork in the road. The motorcycle that was running in front of the runners made a mistake and went straight. Six famous pro runners who were running in front followed the motorcycle.

An Italian named Eyob Faniel was running about one minute behind the top group. When he arrived at the fork in the road, he went to the left. The road to the left was the right road, so he was the winner. Because he chose the right road, Faniel, who had almost no marathon experience until now, won the race.

According to the Bible, in the marathon of life, there are two ways. Christ spoke about those two ways in Matthew 7;13-14.
Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.

All people must choose one of these two ways. There is a way that leads to destruction, in other words, a way that leads to Hell, and there is a way that leads to life, in other words, a way that leads to Heaven.

According to John 14:6, Christ Himself is the way that leads to life.
I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.

Everyone who has been running on the way that leads to destruction, as soon as possible, believe in Christ and enter the way that leads to life. Any way other than Christ is a way that leads to death.

This warning appears in the Bible two times.
There is a way that seems right to a man, but its end is the way of death.
