「Open Doors USA」と言う団体が「World Watch List」を発表しました。
このリストの内容はクリスチャンに対する迫害が最も激しい国のリストです。
最近、発表された情報によると、現在215,000,000人のクリスチャンが迫害を受けています。去年3,066人のクリスチャンが殺されました。

下記のリストは、迫害が最も激しい国々です。
　1.北朝鮮　　　2.アフガニスタン
　3.ソマリア　　4.スーダン　
　5.パキスタン　6.エリトリア　
　7.リビア　　　8.イラク　
　9.イエメン　　10.イラン

最近、インドのクリスチャン達はとても激しい迫害を受けています。今月の20日にヒンドゥー教の信者たちが教会の牧師を拷問し、教会の中でリンチして殺しました。

また「International Christian Concern」と言う団体の報告によると、今月ナイジェリアで80人のクリスチャンがイスラム教の信者たちに殺されました。

幸いな事に日本のクリスチャンは現在そのような迫害は受けていません。
信仰の自由があります。しかし私達はその自由を感謝して重視していますか？
例えば、北朝鮮では聖書を持っているだけで逮捕されます。
私達は、聖書を持つ自由も読む自由もありますが、聖書を読んでいますか？

アフガニスタンでは、家族の中でも、キリストの事を話す事は禁じられています。私達の国、日本では公に伝道する事ができるのに伝道しているでしょうか？

今月、中国の警察は大きな教会を破壊しました。彼らを止めようとしたクリスチャンは外に引きずり出されて暴行を受けました。
対照的に日本のクリスチャンは安心して教会に集まる事ができます。

多くの国々では、クリスチャンの信仰生活は、命がけの生活です。 私達も彼等の熱心な信仰生活に習って、熱心に、また忠実に主に従いましょう。

　　　 

FREEDOM OF FAITH　

Every year an organization called “Open Doors USA” publishes the “World Watch List.” It is a list of the countries where persecution against Christians is the most intense. According to recently published information, at the present time, 215,000,000 Christians are suffering persecution. Last year, 3,066 Christians were killed.

Here is the list of the countries where persecution is the most severe:

　1.North Korea　2.Afghanistan
　3.Somalia　　　 4.Sudan
　5.Pakistan　　　6.Eritrea
　7.Libya　　　　   8.Iraq
　9.Yemen　　　   10. Iran

Lately, the Christians in India have suffered from violent persecution. On January 20, Hindu followers tortured a pastor and hung him in the church.

According to a report from a group called “International Christian Concern,” 80 Christians in Nigeria have been killed by Islamic radicals this month.

Happily, at the present time, Christians in Japan are not suffering from violent persecution. We have freedom of faith. However, are we thankful for that freedom? Do we value that freedom? For example, in North Korea, you could be arrested just for owning a Bible. We have the freedom to both own a Bible and read it, but are we reading it?

In Afghanistan, it is illegal for a person to talk about Christ even in the privacy of his own home. In Japan, we have the freedom to evangelize publicly, but are we evangelizing?

This month the Chinese police destroyed a large church. The Christians who tried to stop them were dragged outside and beaten. In contrast, the Christians of Japan can gather at church with no concern for their safety.

In many countries, Christians risk their lives to follow Christ. Let’s follow their example and follow Christ zealously and faithfully.
