本当の献身

先週、私は視力障害をもっている10数名のクリスチャンの集会に出席しました。
その時、いくつかの事に感動しました。
まず、点字の聖歌を持って心から歌った彼等の賛美に感動しました。 また、喜びを表す彼らの笑顔に感動しました。
私は、隣に座った男性と交わりました。彼は視力障害を持っていて、さらに足が不自由で松葉杖を使って歩いています。
現在その男性は何をしていると思いますか？
施設に入っていると思いますか？
驚く事に彼は福岡県内にある教会の牧師です。
彼はその障害を理由に主に仕える事が出来ないとは考えないで、福音を宣べ伝えるために献身しました。彼の証しを聞いて私はとても感動しました。

読者の皆さん、私達は松葉杖なしで歩く事が出来るし、視力を持っています。
私達も視力障害を持っているクリスチャン達と同じように心に喜びがありますか？
私達は何かの障害や問題を理由に主に仕える事が出来ないと思っていませんか？
私達の献身は本当の献身ですか？

歩く事ができる私達、目が見える私達
ローマ人への手紙12:1の勧めに従いましょう。
「あなたがたのからだを、神に受け入れられ、聖い、生きた供え物としてささげなさい。それこそ、あなたがたの霊的な礼拝です。」

　　　 

TRUE SURRENDER　

Last week I attended a service with several Christians who are visually handicapped. I was moved by several things during that service.
First, I was moved by the song they sang from their heart with their Braille hymnals.Also, I was moved by their smiling faces that showed their joy.

I fellowshipped with the man who sat next to me. He is blind. Also, his legs are in poor condition, so he walks with crutches.

What do you think that man is doing? Do you think he lives in a facility for handicapped people? Amazingly, he is the pastor of a church in Fukuoka Prefecture. Instead of making his handicap a reason not to serve the Lord, he surrendered his life to the Lord to preach the gospel. His testimony moved me greatly.

Members of the Kokura church, we can walk without crutches and we have our eyesight.
Do we, like the people who are visually impaired, have joy in our hearts? Are we making some sort of handicap or problem a reason not to serve the Lord? Is our surrender true surrender?

We who can walk and see, let’s follow the exhortation written in Romans 12:1.
Present your body a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service.
