私から皆さんへチャレンジをお勧めます。
元日から聖書を一緒に読みましょう。
過去に私たちは様々な方法で聖書を読みました。
例えば去年、一年間で新約聖書を読みました。
今年、毎週違うテーマについて読みました。

2019年から聖書を通読しましょう。
聖書を通読する方法は色々あります。
日本の聖書は1800ページあります。
一日に20ページを読んだとすると、3ヶ月間で聖書を通読する事ができます。
毎日10ページ読むと聖書を半年で通読できます。
一日に5ページ読むと一年間で聖書を通読できます。
しかし、このチャレンジが重荷になってほしくないので、私からのチャレンジはこれです。
次の3年間で聖書を通読しましょう。
もし私たちが毎日30節〜40節を読むと、
3年間で聖書を通読できます。

一日に30節〜40節を読むには、どれ位の時間がかかるでしょうか。元旦に私たちは創世記1章を読むと31節あります。
先日、私が創世記1章を音読したら。
約7分かかりました。たった7分です！
私は外国人です。皆さんはもっと早く読む事ができる筈です。

皆さんの忙しいスケジュールの中で、聖書を読む7分がありますか？　もし、時間がなければ現在のスケジュールを何処かで調整してください。
ぜひ、私のチャレンジを受け入れて下さい。
神様の御言葉を読む事は素晴らしい恵みと祝福が約束されています。失望することがありません。

「この律法の書を、あなたの口から離さず、昼も夜もそれを口ずさまなければならない。そのうちにしるされているすべてのことを守り行なうためである。そうすれば、あなたのすることで繁栄し、また栄えることができるからである。」ヨシュア記１:８

　　　 

THE CHALLENGE OF THE PASTOR　

I challenge the members of the church. From the day after tomorrow, let’s read the Bible. Until now, we have read the Bible in various ways. Last year we read the entire New Testament. This year we read about a different topic each week. This time let’s read all the Bible.

There are various methods of reading all the Bible. There are 1800 pages in the Japanese Bible. If we read 20 pages a day, we could read all the Bible in three months. If we read 10 pages a day, we could read all the Bible in half a year. If we read 5 pages a day, we could read all the Bible in one year.

However, I do not want this challenge to become a burden, so this is my challenge. Let’s read all the Bible in the next three years. If we read 30-40 verses a day, we can read all the Bible in three years.

How long does it take to read 30-40 verses? On January the first, we shall read chapter 1 of Genesis. There are 31 verses. The other day, I read chapter 1 of Genesis out loud slowly. It took about 7 minutes. Just 7 minutes! I am a foreigner, so you should be able to read it even quicker.

Do you have 7 minutes in your busy schedule to read the Bible? If not, please make an adjustment somewhere in your schedule.

This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success. (Joshua 1:8)
