一人では出来ないこと

今まで一人で出来なかったのに
現在、一人で出来る事が増えています。

例えば、私達は一人で自分の写真を撮る事が出来ます。
英語で「Selfie」と言います。日本語は「自撮り」です。
最近多くの友達は facebook で「Selfie」をシュアしています。

私がよく通っているマーケットは2月から「セミセルフ・レジ」を開始しました。
もう並んで待つ必要はありません。
一人で「セルフ・チェックアウト」が出来ます。

また、ガソリンスタンドに行くと、一人でガソリンを給油する事が出来ます。

しかし、私達が一人で出来ない大切な事があります。
例えば、私達は一人で天国に行く事が出来ません。
ヨハネの福音書14:6で
キリストはこの有名な言葉を言われました。
「わたしが道であり、真理であり、いのちなのです。わたしを通してでなければ、だれひとり父のみもとに来ることはありません。」

また、クリスチャンは一人で効果的な伝道が出来ません。
ヨハネの福音書15:5で
「わたしはぶどうの木で、あなたがたは枝です。人がわたしにとどまり、わたしもその人の中にとどまっているなら、そういう人は多くの実を結びます。わたしを離れては、あなたがたは何もすることができないからです。」と書いてあります。
実を結ぶ事が出来るクリスチャンは日々御言葉と祈りを通してキリストにとどまるクリスチャンです。

他にクリスチャンが一人で出来ない事が沢山ありますが、
ピリピ人への手紙4:13によると
「私たちは、私たちを強くしてくださる方（キリスト）によって、どんなことでもできるのです。」

　　　 

THINGS WE CANNOT DO
BY OURSELVES

The things which we could not do by ourselves in the past but now can do by ourselves are increasing. For example, now we can take our own picture. In English we call it a “selfie.” In Japanese it is called a jidori. Recently many of my Facebook friends have been sending me “selfies.”

From February, the market where I always shop has begun self-checkouts. There is no longer a need to stand in long lines. We can do self-checkout by ourselves.

When we go to the gas station, we can put gas into the car by ourselves.

However, there are still some important things that we cannot do by ourselves. For example, we cannot go to heaven by ourselves. In John 14:6 Christ spoke these famous words.
I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.

Also, Christians cannot do effective evangelism by themselves. In John 15:5 it is written,
I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.
The Christian who bears much fruit is the Christian who abides in Christ daily through the Word and prayer.

There are many other things that Christians cannot do by themselves, but according to Philippians 4:13,
we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us.
