中味のないコ－ヒ－

水曜日夜の集会（聖書の学び会）に皆さんが来るのを待つ間、私はコーヒー準備します。
水とフィルターとドリップ・コーヒーをポットに入れてスイッチを入れます。そして、皆さんが集まってから、私は「コーヒーが出来ていますよ！」と知らせます。

先日、同じようにコーヒーを準備ました。二人の姉妹がコーヒーを入れに行きました。
突然、二人の大きな笑い声が聞こえました。
私は何がおかしいのかと思って見に行きました。
彼女達がコップに注いだ時、お湯しか出てきませんでした。
なぜなら、私はポットにドリップ・コーヒーを入れるのを忘れていたからです。
やはり、コーヒー豆が入っていないのは、ただのお湯だけです。

同じように御言葉が入っていないのは味気ない信仰生活です。なぜなら聖書の言葉はクリスチャンの生活に味を付けるからです。

詩篇19:10によると聖書の言葉は
「蜜よりも、蜜蜂の巣のしたたりよりも甘い。」

詩篇119:103でダビデが書きました。
「あなたのみことばは、私の上あごに、なんと甘いことでしょう。蜜よりも私の口に甘いのです。」

もし、あなたの現在の信仰生活があまり楽しみと喜びのない生活であれば、エレミヤがやった事を実行して見てください。
「私はあなたのみことばを見つけ出し、それを食べました。あなたのみことばは、私にとって楽しみとなり、心の喜びとなりました。」エレミヤ書15:16

毎日、朝食の時に、聖書を開いて自分の目でそれを味わってください。
そうすれば、お湯だけの中味のないコーヒーのようなあなたの生活は、もっと楽しみと喜びがある生活になります。
「主の戒めは正しくて、人の心を喜ばせる。」詩篇19:8

　　　 

TASTELESS COFFEE　

On Wednesday evening, while I am waiting for everyone to come to the Bible study, I fix some coffee. I put water, a filter, and some coffee into the pot and turn on the switch. After everyone has gathered, I announce,
“The coffee is ready.”

Two or three weeks ago when I did that, two of the ladies went to fix everyone’s coffee. Suddenly I heard them laughing. Thinking, “What is so funny?” I went to see. When they poured coffee into the cups, only hot water came out because I had forgotten to put in the coffee.

Coffee with no coffee in it is tasteless coffee. In the same way, a Christian life without the Word of God is a tasteless life, for it is the Bible that adds flavor to the life of the Christian. According to Psalm 19:10, the words of the Bible are sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb.
In Psalm 119:103 David wrote, How sweet are Your words to my taste, Sweeter than honey to my mouth！

If, at the present time, your Christian life is a life with very little delight and joy, try doing what Jeremiah did.
Your words were found, and I ate them, and Your word was to me the joy and rejoicing of my heart（Jeremiah 15:16）

Every morning when you eat breakfast, open the Bible and taste it with your eyes. If you will do so, your life that is now like coffee with only hot water in it will become a life of delight and joy.
The statutes of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart. (Psalm 19:8)
