合わないもの

買物に行って、おいしそうなコーヒーがあったので、私はそれを買いました。
しかし、それを持って帰ってコーヒーメーカーにセットしようとしたら大きすぎて挿入できませんでした。
困った私はそのコーヒー専用カートリッジが私のコーヒーメーカーには合わないと、すぐに分かりました。そのコーヒーメーカーのブランドはネスカフェ・ドルチェグストです。
買ったコーヒー専用カプセルのブランドはキューリグでした。
やはり、他社のコーヒーメーカーのために製造されたコーヒー専用カプセルはネスカフェ・ドルチェグストには合いません。

クリスチャンの信仰生活にも合わないものがあります。
私達は同時に神様と富を愛する事はできません。
この２つの愛は合いません。

「だれも、ふたりの主人に仕えることはできません。一方を憎んで他方を愛したり、一方を重んじて他方を軽んじたりするからです。あなたがたは、神にも仕え、また富にも仕えるということはできません。」
マタイの福音書6:24

他に合わないものは、クリスチャンと偶像です。聖書によると聖霊なる神様は全てのクリスチャンの中に宿っています。クリスチャンの体は聖霊の宮です。
Ⅱコリント人への手紙6:16に
「神の宮と偶像とに、何の一致があるでしょう。私たちは生ける神の宮なのです。」と書いてあります。

また、光（正しい行い）と暗闇（悪い行い）も合わないものです。
「正義と不法とに、どんなつながりがあるでしょう。光と暗やみとに、どんな交わりがあるでしょう。」
Ⅱコリント人への手紙6:14

エペソ人への手紙5:8に
「あなたがたは、以前は暗やみでしたが、今は、主にあって、光となりました。光の子どもらしく歩みなさい。」と書いてあります。

私達の今の生活をよく考えましょう。もし、私たちの信仰の証に合わない行動があれば、それを早速やめましょう。

　　　  

THINGS THAT DO NOT MATCH 

When I went shopping, there was some delicious-looking coffee, so I bought it. However, when I took it home and tried to put it into my coffeemaker, it would not fit. The pod was too big. When I looked for the reason why it would not fit, I found the reason right away. The brand of my coffeemaker is Nescafe, but the coffee that I bought was for a Keurig coffeemaker. Of course, coffee made for a Keurig coffeemaker will not match a Nescafe coffeemaker.

In the Christian life too, there are things that do not match. We cannot love God and riches at the same time. These two loves do not match. No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will be loyal to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and riches.
(Matthew 6:24)

Some other things that do not match are Christians and idols. According to the Bible, God the Holy Spirit dwells in each Christian. Our body is the temple of the Holy Spirit.
(First Corinthians 6:19)
What agreement has the temple of God with idols? For you are the temple of the living God.
(Second Corinthians 6:16)

Also, light (righteous deeds) and darkness (evil deeds) do not match.
What fellowship has righteousness with lawlessness? And what communion has light with darkness? (Second Corinthians 6:14)

In Ephesians 5:8 it is written, For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light.

Let us consider our Christian life. If there is any conduct that does not match our testimony of faith, let us stop it immediately.
