長野県の上田市にある上田BBCに行ったとき、私は新幹線で小倉～東京まで行って、そして東京～長野に行きました。
私が乗った新幹線は上田駅に止まらないので長野駅で別の列車に乗り換えなければなりませんでした。

その列車に乗ったとき私は、おかしな事に気がつきました。
その列車は東京行きでした。
東京から来たばかりなのに上田駅に行くために東京駅方面に戻らなければなりませんでした。

クリスチャンも前進するために戻らなければならない時があります。神様が望んでおられるようなクリスチャンになるために私たちは、神様の御心に従わなかった所に戻る必要があります。

創世記の28章で兄エサウの祝福を盗んだヤコブは、兄に殺されることを恐れてベテルという場所に行きました。
ベテルでヤコブは神様に誓願を立てましたがカランに着いてからヤコブはその請願を忘れて、とても罪深い生活をしました。

20年後ヤコブはベテルに戻って祭壇を築いて、もう一度、神様に誓願を立てました。（創世記35:1-15）

もっと神様に祝福されたい、もっと霊的に成長したい、もっと神様に用いられたいクリスチャンも神様への約束を守らなかった所に戻って主に従う決心を新たにしなければなりません。

「主に帰れ。そうすれば、主はあわれんでくださる。私たちの神に帰れ。豊に許してくださるから。」

GO BACK TO GO FORWARD　

When I went to the Ueda Bible Baptist Church in Ueda City in Nagano Prefecture, I rode the Shinkansen from Kokura to Tokyo and then from Tokyo to Nagano. The train on which I was riding did not stop at Ueda, so at Nagano I had to change to a different train.

When I got on that train, I noticed something interesting. That train was bound for Tokyo. Even though I had just come from Tokyo, to go to Ueda, I had to ride a train headed back to Tokyo.

There are times when Christians too must go back to go forward. To become the kind of Christian that God is desiring, we may need to go back to the place where we did not obey the will of God.

In chapter 28 of Genesis, Jacob, who had stolen the blessing of his brother Esau and feared being killed by him, went to a place called Bethel. There he made a vow to God, but after he arrived in Haran, he forgot his vow and lived a very sinful life.

20 years later, Jacob went back to Bethel, built an altar, and renewed his vows to God. (Genesis 35:1-15)

The Christian who wants to be more blessed by God or wants to grow more spiritually or wants to be more used by God will have to go back to the place where he did not keep his promise to God and renew his decision to obey God.

Return to the Lord. He will have mercy. Return to the Lord. He will abundantly pardon.
