東京に住んでいる私の知り合いが毎週 “コストコ” から売れなかったパンを無料で貰います。
そして彼は、そのパンを依頼があったら他の宣教師に送ります。
先週の日曜日に私は、その無料のパンを頂きました。
おいしいパンが沢山入っている大きな箱が家に届きました。
そのパンを数人の教会員と近所の人達に差し上げました。

聖書のヨハネの福音書6:35によると、もう一つの無料のパンがあります。
キリストは言われました。
「わたしがいのちのパンです。わたしに来る者は決して飢えることがなく、わたしを信じる者はどんなときにも、決して渇くことがありません。」

私が貰ったパンとキリストが与える命のパンに3つの大きな違いがあります。
第1に、私が貰ったパンは、本当は無料のパンではありませんでした。
パンは無料でしたが、私は、送料を着払いしなければなりませんでした。
しかし、自分の罪を求めてキリストを信じる人は、命のパンを無料で受けることができます。

第２に、届いたパンを貰った人達は、わずかでした。パンが家に届いた時、数人の教会員は、もうすでに帰宅していたので、残念なことに彼らは、パンを貰うことができませんでした。
それと違って、全ての人々は、キリストが与える命のパンを受けることができます。

第3に、私からパンを貰った人達は、そのパンを食べて満たされますが、次の日、彼らは、また飢えるのです。
しかし、命のパンであるキリストを信じる人は、永遠に心を満足させるパンを受けます。

心のための無料の命のパンがあります。
キリストを信じる信仰によってそのパンを受けましょう。
そして、もうすでにそのパンを受けた人は、そのパンをできるだけ多くの人達に分け与えましょう。

　　　 

FREE BREAD　

Every week an acquaintance of mine living in Tokyo receives unsold bread from Costco and gives it to missionaries who request it. Last Sunday I was able to receive some of that free bread. A large box filled with delicious bread came to my house. I shared that bread with several church members and some neighbors.

According to John 6:35 in the Bible, there is another free bread. Christ said, I am the bread of life. He who comes to Me shall never hunger, and he who believes in Me shall never thirst.

There are three big differences between the bread that I received and the bread of life that Christ gives. First, the bread that I received was not really free. The bread itself was free, but I had to pay the shipping fee. However, the person who will admit his sins and believe in Christ can receive the bread of life for free.

Second, there were few people who received the bread. When the bread arrived, some of the church members had already left, so, regrettably, they did not receive any bread. Different from that, all people can receive the bread of life that Christ gives.

Third, the people who received bread from me will eat that bread and be full, but tomorrow they will be hungry again. However, those who believe in Christ the bread of life will receive bread that will satisfy their heart forever.

The bread of life is free! Let us receive that bread through faith in Christ, and those of us who have already received that bread, let us share it with as many people as possible.
