不安の中の平安

2020年の世界は、不安に満ちている世界となりました。
1,300,000人以上が新型コロナウイルスに感染しています。
ウイルスに感染した73,000人以上が死亡しました。
毎日ウイルスに感染症の人数が拡大しています。
多くの人々は、恐れながら家の中で自粛し、不要不急の外出を控えています。
日本の総理大臣は、4月7日に
「緊急事態宣言」を発令しました。

しかし、ちょうど今、全世界が不安に沈んでいるとき、私たちに平安を与える出来事を思い出す日がきました。
今日は、私たちがキリストの復活を記念するイースターです。

キリストは、弟子たちの目の前で十字架の上で死なれました。
今、恐怖を感じて家で自粛している人々と同じように、彼らは、十字架による死刑を恐れながら隠れていました。
突然よみがえられた主イエスは、彼らに現れました。
弟子たちの不安を知っておられたキリストの口から出た最初の言葉は、この言葉でした。
「平安があなたがたにあるように。」
ヨハネの福音書20:19

今ウイルスの恐れのゆえに不安を感じているクリスチャンの皆さん、今も生きておられるキリストの言葉を思い出してください。
「わたしは、あなたがたに平安を残します。わたしは、あなたがたにわたしの平安を与えます。わたしがあなたがたに与えるのは、世が与えるのとは違います。あなたがたは心を騒がしてはなりません。恐れてはなりません。」
ヨハネの福音書14:27

この復活の日に声を上げて、人のすべての考えに勝る平安を与えてくださるキリストを褒め歌いましょう。

PEACE IN THE MIDDLE OF ANXIETY

The world of 2020 has become a world filled with anxiety. Over 1,300,000 people are infected with the Corona-virus. Over 73,000 people who were infected with the virus have died. The number of people infected with the virus is increasing daily. Many people have shut themselves up in their house in fear. The Prime Minister of Japan has declared a state of emergency.

However, just as the world at this time is sinking into anxiety, the day to remember an event that gives us peace has come. Today is Easter, the day when we commemorate the resurrection of Christ.

Christ died on the cross right in front of the eyes of His disciples. Just as many people right now have shut themselves in their homes for fear of the virus, the disciples shut themselves up in a room, fearing execution by crucifixion. Suddenly the risen Christ appeared to them. Knowing the anxiety that was in their hearts, the first words that came out of His mouth were these words, Peace be with you.
(John 20:19)

Christians who are sensing fear because of the virus, remember the words of the living Christ: Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
(John 14:27)

On this resurrection day let us lift up our voices and praise Christ who gives us peace that passes all understanding.

　He lives within my heart.♫
