先週、病院に行ったとき入口で待っていた看護師は、私の体温を調べました。
34.6℃でした。
日曜日にそのことを数人の教会員に伝えると彼らはビックリしました。
「先生、それは低いですよ。平熱は、36.5℃〜37.5℃位ですよ」

これを聞いて、とても心配しました。家に帰って、低い体温のことをインターネットで調べました。
その情報によると低い体温は、よくない健康の症状です。
また、体温が35℃以下になると、それは、疲れ・憂鬱・不安・パニック障害の原因になる可能性があります。幸いなことに現在そのような症状は、私にはないので安心しました。

今、新型コロナウイルスのために皆さんは、よく体温を計ると思いますが、しかし霊的な温度を調べることがありますか。
例えば、今あなたの奉仕の温度は、何度ですか。
テトスへの手紙2:14に「キリストが私たちのためにご自身をささげられたのは、私たちをすべての不法から贖い出し、良いわざに熱心なご自分の民を、ご自分のためにきよめるためでした。」と書いてあります。

また、今あなたの伝道の温度は、何度ですか。
マタイの福音書9:36によると、キリストが群衆を見たとき、彼は、彼らを可愛そうに思われました。
英語の聖書に「キリストは哀れみに動かされた」と書いてあります。
あなたの心にも、この地方の方々の救いのために哀れみで燃えていますか。

もう一つ、今あなたの祈りの温度は、何度ですか。
決まり文句の祈りですか。
あるいは、ハンナのように祈るときあなたは、主の前にあなたの心を注ぎ出していますか。（Ⅰサムエル記1:15）

今度、体温を調べるとき、霊的な温度も調べましょう。
あまり低い温度であれば、それは、私たちの霊的な状態は、よくない症状です。
「勤勉で怠らず、霊に燃え、主に仕えなさい。」

WHAT IS YOUR TEMPERATURE?　

When I went to the hospital the other day, a nurse waiting at the entrance checked my temperature. It was 34.6 (94.2). On Sunday, when I told several of the church people about this, they were surprised. They said, “Pastor, that is low. The normal temperature is between 36.5 and 37.5.” (97.7-99.5)

When I heard that, I became worried. After I returned home, I checked the subject of low temperature on the Internet. According to the articles I read, a low temperature is a sign of poor health. If the temperature drops below 35 (95), it can cause fatigue, depression, anxiety, and panic attacks. Thankfully, I do not have any of those symptoms right now, so I was relieved.

Because of the Corona virus, you probably check your temperature often. However, do you ever check your spiritual temperature? For example, what is your good works temperature right now? In Titus 2:14 it is written, Christ gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from every lawless deed and purify for Himself His own special people, zealous for good works.

Also, what is your evangelism temperature?
According to Matthew 9:36, when Christ saw the multitudes, He was moved with compassion. Is your heart too burning with compassion for the salvation of the souls in this area?

One more, what is your prayer temperature? Is your prayer just a cliché prayer, or do you pour your heart out before the Lord like Hannah did? (First Samuel 1:15)

From time to time, when we check our temperature, let’s check our spiritual temperature too. If it is very low, it is a sign that our spiritual condition is not good.
