他人に受け入れられたい欲望

ほとんど人の心には、他人に受け入れられたいと言う欲望があります。
その欲望自体は、悪くありませんが、その欲望が下記の行動が原因になると、悪い欲望に変わります。

他人に受け入れられたいので、クリスチャンがしては、いけない事をする。
私が高校生ころ、一番仲の良い友達は、クリスチャンでは、ありませんでした。
彼らに受け入れられたい私は、時々クリスチャンが行ってはいけない場所に行き、見てはいけない雑誌を見ました。
親と一緒にフロリダ州に引っ越すまで、私は、彼らの悪い影響を受けていました。

他人に受け入れられたいので、クリスチャンが信仰を隠す。
日本のことわざによると、最も恐ろしいものは「地震・雷・火事・オヤジ」です。
しかし、もう一つあります。
他人の目です。もし他人に信仰を告白したら、彼らが、以前の様に付き合ってくれないと恐れる時、私達は、信仰を隠します。
ある人は、言いました。
「最も過酷な牢獄…　それは、他人の目に対する恐れの中にいる状態です。」

他人に受け入れられたいので、神様の御言葉に反する決心をする。つまり、私たちは、聖書に何と書いてあるのかを知っているのに、神様よりも他人を喜ばせたいので、聖書の教えを守りません。
権力によって「イエスの名によって教えてはならないときびしく命じられた」しかし弟子たちは、答えました。
「人に従うよりも、神に従うべきです。」
使徒の働き5:29

クリスチャンの模範は、パウロです。
「いま私は人に取り入ろうとしていうのでしょうか。いや、神に、でしょう。あるいはまた、人の歓心を買おうと努めているのでしょうか。もし私がいまなお人の歓心を買おうとするようなら、私はキリストのしもべとは言えません。」ガラテヤ人への手紙1:10

　　 

THE DESIRE TO BE
ACCEPTED BY OTHERS

Almost all people have a desire to be accepted by others. The desire itself is not bad: however, if that desire becomes the cause of the following actions, it is not good:

When we do things a Christian should not do because we want to be accepted by others. When I was a high school student, none of my best friends were Christians. Because I wanted to be accepted by them, I went places a Christian should not go and looked at magazines which a Christian should not look at. Until I moved to Florida with my parents, they had a bad influence on me.

When we hide our faith because we want to be accepted by others. According to a Japanese proverb, the four most fearsome things are earthquakes, thunder, fire, and father. However, there is one more. It is the eyes of others. Because we fear that others will not associate with us any longer if we confess our faith, we hide our faith.
Someone said, “The greatest prison people live in is the fear of what other people think.”

When we make decisions that violate the Word of God because we want to be accepted by others. In other words, we know what is written in the Bible, but because we want to be accepted by others, we do not obey the teachings of the Bible. When the Council commanded the disciples not to teach any more in the name of Jesus, they replied,
“We ought to obey God rather than men.”
(Acts 5:29)

Paul is the Christian’s example.
For do I now persuade men, or God? Or do I seek to please men? For if I still pleased men, I would not be a servant of Christ.
(Galatians 1:10)
