「やばい」の意味が変わってきている事を知っていますか？　
今まで「やばい」の意味は「危ない」という意味でした。和英事典によると「やばい」の意味は「dangerous」です。しかし、今「やばい」は「非常に素晴らしい」と言う意味もあるそうです。

例えば、若者がとても美味しい物を食べた時、「チョ～ やばい！」と表現します。
日本の文化庁によると、25%の日本人は「やばい」を「非常に素晴らしい」と言う言葉の表現で使っているそうです。

英語にも意味が変わってきた言葉があります。「Nice」をよく使います。「Nice」は「無知な」と言う意味のラテン語からきた言葉です。中世期に「Nice」の意味は「おとなしい」に変わりました。
1800年代に「おとなしさ」はとても良い特徴として認められる様になりました。そこで「Nice」の意味は今の「素敵な」という意味に変わりました。
世界中の国の言葉で意味が変わってきた「言葉・表現」があるでしょう。

しかし、聖書に書いてある神様の言葉の意味は決して変わりません。 イザヤ書40:8に「草は枯れ、花はしぼむ。だが、私たちの神のことばは永遠に立つ。」と書いてあります。

Ⅰペテロの手紙1:23～25で同じ事を教えています。
「あなたがたが新しく生まれたのは、朽ちる種からではなく、朽ちない種からであり、生ける、いつまでも変わることのない、神のことばによるのです。 「人はみな草のようで、その栄えは、みな草の花のようだ。草はしおれ、花は散る。 しかし、主のことばは、とこしえに変わることがない。」とあるからです。あなたがたに宣べ伝えられた福音のことばがこれです。」

イエス・キリストを信じている人は変わる事のない神様の御言葉の上に立っているので、私達は確信と勇気に満ちている生活を楽しむ事が出来ます。「やばい」や「Nice」の意味は変わるかも知れませんが、ヨハネの福音書5:24に書いてあるキリストの言葉の意味は永遠に同じ意味です。
「まことに、まことに、あなたがたに告げます。わたしのことばを聞いて、わたしを遣わした方を信じる者は、永遠のいのちを持ち、さばきに会うことがなく、死からいのちに移っているのです。」

YABAI !

Have you heard that the meaning of the word yabai has changed? Until now it has meant risky. When I checked a Japanese-English dictionary, dangerous was listed as the meaning of yabai. However, now the word yabai can also mean unusually great. For example, when a young person eats something that is delicious, he may say that it is yabai. According to the Japan Cultural Affairs Agency, 25% of the Japanese are now using yabai to mean unusually great.
The meaning of some English words too has changed. Do you ever use the word nice? Nice comes from a Latin word that means ignorant. In the Middle Ages the meaning changed to gentle. In the 1800’s gentleness was consider a good trait, so the meaning of nice changed to its current meaning.
There are probably words in every language that have changed in meaning. However, the meaning of the words of God written in the Bible will never change. In Isaiah 40:8 it is written,
The grass withers, the flower fades, But the word of our God stands forever.

First Peter 1:23-25 teaches the same thing.
Having been born again, not of corruptible seed but incorruptible, through the word of God which lives and abides forever, because "All flesh is as grass, And all the glory of man as the flower of the grass. The grass withers, And its flower falls away, But the word of the Lord endures forever."

Because believers in Jesus Christ are standing on the unchangeable Word of God, they can enjoy a life filled with assurance and courage. The meaning of words such as yabai and nice may change, but the meaning of the words that Christ spoke in John 5:24 will be the same forever.
Most assuredly, I say to you, he who hears My word and believes in Him who sent Me has everlasting life, and shall not come into judgment, but has passed from death into life.
