相反するもの

私は、車に乗ってETCカードをドライブに入れて、車のエンジンをかけました。そうすると、耳をつんざく音がしました。キィ～キィ～キィ～キィ～。
私と一緒にいたワイエット先生もビックリしました。エンジンを再びかけました。キィ～キィ～キィ～キィ～ 私もワイエット先生も車の全ての計器類を点検しましたが、異常な箇所はどこもありませんでした。
私はETCカードを抜き取りました。すると静かになりました。
そのカードをよく見ると原因が分かりました。私がETCドライブに入れたカードはETCカードではなくクレジットカードでした。皆さん覚えていて下さいETCドライブにクレジットカードは使用できません。

聖書によるとETCドライブにクレジットカードを入れる様な箇所があります。まず、同じ口で、神様を褒め称えた後、他人の悪口を言うのは相反する事です。

「私たちは、舌をもって、主であり父である方をほめたたえ、同じ舌をもって、神にかたどって造られた人をのろいます。 賛美とのろいが同じ口から出て来るのです。
私の兄弟たち。このようなことは、あってはなりません。」
ヤコブの手紙3:9-10

また、同時に神様にも富にも仕えようとするのも相反する事です。
「だれも、ふたりの主人に仕えることはできません。一方を憎んで他方を愛したり、一方を重んじて他方を軽んじたりするからです。あなたがたは、神にも仕え、また富にも仕えるということはできません。」 マタイの福音書 6:24

もう一つの相反するものは、真の神様も偶像をも拝む事です。聖書によると、偶像に何かを捧げる事は悪霊に捧げる事と同じです。

Ⅰコリント人への手紙10:20～21に
「彼らのささげる物は、神にではなくて悪霊にささげられている、と言っているのです。私は、あなたがたに悪霊と交わる者になってもらいたくありません。あなたがたが主の杯を飲んだうえ、さらに悪霊の杯を飲むことは、できないことです。主の食卓にあずかったうえ、さらに悪霊の食卓にあずかることはできないことです。」と書いてあります。

　　　　

THINGS THAT DON’T GO TOGETHER　

I got into the car, put my ETC card into the device, and turned on the engine. When I did, there was a strange, piercing sound. Missionary Mike Wyatt was with me, and we were both surprised. I tried turning off the engine and turning it on again. The same ear-piercing sound started. Mike and I checked all the gauges, but they were all normal.

I took out the ETC card, and when I did, the noise stopped. When I looked at the card, I discovered the cause of the sound. The card that I had inserted into the ETC device was not the ETC card. It was my credit card. Please remember this. ETC devices and credit cards do not go together.

According to the Bible, there are things that resemble putting a credit card into an ETC device. First, blessing God with our mouth and using the same mouth to speak evil of others are two things that do not go together.
Therewith bless we God, even the Father; and therewith curse we men, which are made after the similitude of God. Out of the same mouth proceedeth blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things out not so to be.
(James 3:9-10)

Also, trying to serve God and trying to serve wealth are two things that do not go together.
No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will be loyal to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon. (Matthew 6:24)

Two more things that do not go together are worshipping God and worshipping idols. According to the Bible, offering something to an idol is the same thing as offering something to demons.
In First Corinthians 10:20-21 it is written,
The things which the Gentiles sacrifice they sacrifice to demons and not to God, and I do not want you to have fellowship with demons. You cannot drink the cup of the Lord and the cup of demons; you cannot partake of the Lord's table and of the table of demons.
