有効なパスポート

先日、娘は私をタンパ国際空港まで送ってくれました。
搭乗手続きの係員に「パスポートを見せて下さい」と言われてパスポートを渡しました。
その係員の言葉に驚きました。私にパスポートを返しながら「有効なパスポートを見せて下さい」と言われました。
パスポートを見た私は、大変な事に気がつきました。
新しいパスポートをスーツケースに入れて古いパスポートを空港に持って来てしまいました。私も娘も２つのスーツケースを開けて、急いで新しいパスポートを探しました。ようやく娘がスーツケースの奥の方にあった新しいパスポートを見つけ出してくれました。

やはり、パスポートを持っていても、それはが有効なパスポートでなければ、人は国際便に乗る事は出来ません。天国に行く事も同じです。無効なパスポートで人は神様の国に入る事は出来ません。
いわゆる「無効なパスポート」が沢山あります。その一つは献金です。人がいくら献金しても、お金で天国への切符を買う事は出来ません。善い行いも無効なパスポートです

聖書は、はっきりのべて述べています。
天国へ行く方法は、
「行いによるのではありません」エペソ人への手紙2:8

バプテスマ（洗礼）も無効なパスポートです。
「人が救わるのは、バプテスマの水によるのではなく、十字架の上で私達の罪のために死んで下さったキリストの尊い血によるのです。」Ⅰペテロの手紙1:18～19

天国に行くための有効なパスポートは一つしかありません。
イエス・キリストを信じる信仰です。 キリストは言われました。
「わたしが道であり、真理であり、いのちなのです。わたしを通してでなければ、だれひとり父のみもとに来ることはありません。」ヨハネの福音書14:6

　　　　

A VALID PASSPORT　

Last Monday my daughter took me to Tampa International Airport. The man at the counter said, “Let me see your passport,” so I handed it to him. The next words he said startled me. As he handed my passport back to me, he said, “Let me see a valid passport.”

I looked at the passport and realized that I had put my new passport into one of my suitcases and brought the old passport to the airport. My daughter and I opened the two suitcases and frantically searched for the new passport. My daughter finally found it in the bottom of one of the suitcases.

Even if a person has a passport, if it is not a valid passport, he will not be able to board an international flight. It is the same when it comes to going to heaven. Even though a person has a passport, if it is not a valid passport, he cannot enter heaven.

There are many “invalid passports.” Offerings are an invalid passport. No matter how much a person may give, he will not be able to buy a ticket to heaven.

Another invalid passport is good works. The Bible clearly states that the method of going to heaven is “not by works.”
(Ephesians 2:8)

One more invalid passport is baptism. A person is saved not by the water of baptism but by the precious blood of Christ who died on the cross for our sins. (First Peter 1:18-19)

There is only one valid passport for going to heaven. It is faith in Jesus Christ. Christ said, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh to the Father, but by me. (John 14:6)
