不思議な誕生

　　　　
12月25日、私たちはキリストの誕生を祝います。
彼の誕生を考える時、私たちは３つの不思議な事に気がつきます。

まず第１にキリストの誕生の場所が不思議な場所でした。
神に遣わされた救い主がローマやアテネの様な大都市で生まれるのが当然ですが、いつか王の王になる方はベツレヘムと言う小さな町で生まれました。
それだけではありません。キリストはベツレヘムの不思議な場所で生まれました。彼は馬小屋で生まれたのです。
「マリヤは月が満ちて、男子の初子を産んだ。それで、布にくるんで、飼葉おけに寝かせた。宿屋には彼らのいる場所がなかったからである。」ルカの福音書2:6～7

第２に、キリストが生まれた方法は不思議な方法でした。
彼は処女から生まれました。
クリスマスの話を聞く多くの人々はキリストの処女誕生を疑いますが、この問題は処女が子供を生む事ができるかどうかではなく、天と地を創造した神に、男を知らなかったマリヤに子供を産ませる力があったかどうかという問題です。
ルカの福音書1:37に
「神にとって不可能なことは一つもありません」
と書いてあります。

第３に、キリストが生まれた目的は不思議な目的でした。
キリストを除いて、全ての人々は生きるために生まれます。キリストは死ぬために生まれました。
マタイの福音書1:21によると、キリストは私たちをその罪から救うために生まれました。
その任務を果たすために、キリストは十字架の上で私達の罪を御自分の身において、私達の代わりに私達が受けるべき罪の罰を受けてくださいました。

ローマ人への手紙5:8にそう書いてあります。
「私たちがまだ罪人であったとき、キリストが私たちのために死んでくださった。」
キリストは不思議な場所で、不思議な方法で、不思議な目的を成し遂げるために生まれました。

彼が生まれる何百年も前に、イザヤはこの預言を書きました。
「ひとりのみどりごが、私たちのために生まれる。ひとりの男の子が、私たちに与えられる。
主権はその肩にあり、その名は「不思議な助言者、力ある神、永遠の父、平和の君」と呼ばれる。」イザヤ書９:６

　　　　　　

A Strange (fushigi na) Birth　

Today we shall celebrate the birth of Christ. When we think about His birth, we notice three strange things.

First of all, the place of His birth was a strange place. It would have been a natural thing for the Savior sent by God to be born in a metropolis like Rome or Athens. However, the One who will someday be King of Kings was born in a small town called Bethlehem. That isn’t all. The place where Christ was born in Bethlehem was a strange place. He was born in a stable. She brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn.
(Luke 2:7)

Second, the method of the birth of Christ was a strange method. He was born from a virgin. Many people who hear the Christmas story doubt the virgin birth of Christ, but the central problem is not whether or not a virgin can have a baby. The central problem is whether or not the God who created the heaven and the earth has the power to make Mary pregnant. In Luke 1:37 it is written, For with God nothing shall be impossible.

Third, the purpose of the birth of Christ was a strange purpose. Except for Christ, all people are born to live. Christ was born to die. According to Matthew 1:21. Christ was born to save us from our sins. In order to fulfill that mission, Jesus had to bear our sins in His own body, and receive in our place the punishment of sins that we should receive. It says so in Romans 5:8. Christ died for us.

Christ was born in a strange place by a strange method to accomplish a strange purpose. Therefore, hundreds of years before Christ was born, Isaiah wrote this prophecy.
For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful (fushigi), Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace
