私は彼の腕の中に落ちました

宅配の配達員が家に荷物を届けに来ました。
宅配物を私に手渡して「受取書にサインして下さい」と言いました。
サインしようとした時、私はバランスを崩して、背中から玄関の方に落ちました。もし玄関の下まで落ちていたら大けがをしたかも知れませんが、配達人は腕を出して支えてくれました。
私は彼の腕の中に落ちました。ビックリした配達員は何回も「大丈夫ですか？」と聞きました。私は大丈夫でしたが、とても恥ずかしい気持ちでした。

61年前に私はもう一人の方の腕の中に落ちました。イエス・キリストを自分の救い主として受け入れる決心をした時、私の魂は神様の御腕の中に落ちました。
その時から私の魂は主の強い腕の中に守られています。

詩篇89:13によると、神は「力ある腕を持っておられます。」
また、ユダ書24節によると、神様は私たちを「つまずかないように守ることができ、傷のない者として、大きな喜びをもって栄光の御前に立たせることのできる」方です。

聖歌に（495番）「イエスのみうでに」という賛美があります。
英語のタイトルは「Safe in the Arms of Jesus」です。

これはその賛美の一節です。

♪イエスのみうでに、そのみうでに
　しずかにいこう、われはやすし
　あまつつかいの、うたのこえも
　こころにちかく、きこゆるなり♪

キリストを信じている人が辛い試練にあって、自分はもう落ちてしまうと思う時、恐れる必要はありません。
なぜなら、申命記33:27によると「私達の下に主の永遠の腕があります。」

　　　　

I FELL INTO HIS ARMS 

A deliveryman brought a package to my home. After giving the package to me, he handed me the delivery receipt and asked me to sign it. Just as I began to sign it, I lost my balance and fell backwards toward the genkan. If I had fallen as far as the genkan, I might have been seriously hurt, but the deliveryman put out his arms and caught me. I fell into his arms. The surprised deliveryman asked me over and over again, “Are you all right?” I was all right, but I felt very embarrassed.

61 years ago I fell into the arms of another person. When I received Jesus Christ as my Savior, my soul fell into the arms of the Lord. Since that time, my soul has been protected in the strong arms of the Lord.

According to Psalm 89:13, the Lord has a mighty arm.
Also, according to verse 24 of Jude, the Lord is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy.

There is a hymn titled “Safe In The Arms Of Jesus”.
♪Safe in the arms of Jesus, Safe on His gentle breast;
　There by His love o’ershaded, Sweetly my soul shall rest.
　Hark! ’tis the voice of angels Borne in a song to me,
　Over the fields of glory, Over the jasper sea.♪

When the person who believes in Christ meets a severe trial and thinks he is going to fall, there is no need to fear. According to Deuteronomy 33:27, underneath us are the everlasting arms of the Lord.
