ゴミ箱の中の携帯電話

私は、携帯電話を使っていない時、いつも本棚の上に置きます。
そうすれば、携帯電話が鳴ると、それを探さないで済むからです。
先日、携帯電話が鳴った時、私はそれを取りに行きましたが、いつもの所にありませんでした。私は本棚の上を徹底的に探しましたが、携帯電話を見つける事ができませんでした。

耳をすましてよく聞くと、携帯電話の音が本棚の下のゴミ箱から聞こえているようでした。
ちょうどその時、ゴミ箱の中に白い紙が沢山捨ててありました。私の携帯電話の色も白だからゴミ箱の中を見た時、私は携帯電話を発見できませんでした。
そして、携帯電話の音はゴミ箱の中から聞こえていたので、そのゴミの中を探し、携帯電話を見つける事ができました。もし着信マナー音がなかったなら私はゴミと一緒に携帯電話を捨ていたかも知れません。

携帯電話は、私の不注意でゴミ箱の中に落ちたと思います。
マナーモードの携帯電話は本棚の端にあって、電話がなった時、携帯電話はそのブルブルと振動とマナー音によってゆれ動き、ゴミ箱の中に落ちたのでしょう。

聖書によると、クリスチャンも、不注意のために、携帯電話より大切なものを失うかも知れません。例えば、誘惑に会う時、自分の純潔を失うかも知れません。注意すべきです。

Ⅰテモテへの手紙5:22に
「自分を清く保ちなさい。」と書いてあります。

また、「よく気をつけ、無節操な者たちの迷いに誘い込まれて自分自身の堅実さを失うことにならないようにしなさい。」
Ⅱペテロの手紙3:17

そして、主のための働きの報いを失う事がない様に気を付けましょう。

「よく気をつけて、私たちの労苦の実をだいなしにすることなく、豊かな報いを受けるようになりなさい。」
Ⅱヨハネの手紙８節

携帯電話よりもはるかに大切である自分の純潔と堅実と報いを、不注意のために、失う事がない様に注意しましょう。

　　　　

THE CELL PHONE IN THE TRASH CAN　

When I am not using my cell phone, I always place it on top of the bookcase. This way, when I have a call on my cell phone, I do not have to search for it. When my cell phone rang the other day, I went to get it, but it was not where I always keep it. I looked all over the top of the bookcase, but I could not find my cell phone.

When I listened carefully, it seemed that the ringing was coming from the trash can below the bookcase. The trash can was filled with white paper, and my cell phone is white, so when I looked into the trash can, I did not see my cell phone. But the ringing was definitely coming from the trash can, so I took out all the trash and found my phone. If I had not had a call that day, I might have thrown my cell phone out with the trash.

I think the cell phone fell into the trash can because of my carelessness. I placed the phone too close to the edge of the bookcase and left the phone on silent mode, so when the call came, the vibration caused the phone to move and fall into the trash can.

According to the Bible, Christians can lose something more important than a cell phone. For example, when we meet temptation, we should be careful lest we lose our purity. In First Timothy 5:22 it is written, Keep yourself pure.

Also, beware lest you also fall from your own steadfastness, being led away with the error of the wicked. (Second Peter 3:17)

And, be careful lest you lose your reward for the work you have done for the Lord. Look to yourselves, that we do not lose those things we worked for, but that we may receive a full reward. (Second John, verse 8)

Let’s be careful lest, lest because of carelessness, we lose our purity, our steadfastness, and our reward – things that are much more valuable than a cell phone.
