失われたキャッシュカード

お金を銀行の口座から引き出すためにコンビニに行った時、私は床に落ちた物に気がつきました。 私はそれを拾ってビックリしました。
誰かが落としたキャッシュカードでした。
私は早速それを店員に渡しました。

数日後、そのコンビニに行った時、店員はそのカードを失った人は2日後にそれを探しに来たそうです。
失ったカードを見つけるまで、その人は必死になってそのカードを探したでしょう。
確かにキャッシュカードを失う事は大変な事です。
しかし、もっと大変な事があります。
それは自分のたましいを失う事です。

ルカの福音書12:16-20でキリストはこの例え話をされました。
「ある金持ちの畑が豊作であった。 そこで彼は、心の中でこう言いながら考えた。『どうしよう。作物をたくわえておく場所がない。』 そして言った。『こうしよう。あの倉を取りこわして、もっと大きいのを建て、穀物や財産はみなそこにしまっておこう。 そして、自分のたましいにこう言おう。「たましいよ。これから先何年分もいっぱい物がためられた。さあ、安心して、食べて、飲んで、楽しめ。」』 しかし神は彼に言われた。『愚か者。おまえのたましいは、今夜おまえから取り去られる。そうしたら、おまえが用意した物は、いったいだれのものになるのか。』
お金持ちは仕事をして、大成功を収めました。 しかし、彼は人間の本質である自分のたましいを失ってしまったので、神様は彼を「愚か者」と呼びました。

マルコの福音書8:36でキリストは言われました。
「人は、たとい全世界を得ても、いのちを損じたら、何の得がありましょう。」
英語の聖書にはこう書いてあります。
「人は、たとい全世界を得ても、たましいを損じたら、何の得がありましょう。」

ルカの福音書9:25には
「人は、たとい全世界を手に入れても、自分自身を失い、損じたら、何の得がありましょう。」と書いてあります。

皆さんはキャッシュカードを失う事がない様に気を付けているでしょう。
同じ熱心さで、自分のたましいを失う事がない様に、一日も早く十字架の上で私達のたましいを救うために死んで下さったイエス・キリストを信じましょう。

　　　　

THE LOST ATM CARD　

When I went to the convenience store to withdraw some money from my bank account, I noticed something on the floor. I picked it up and was surprised. It was an ATM card that someone had lost. I immediately handed it to the clerk. A few days later when I went to that store, the clerk told me that the person who had lost the card came searching for it two days later. Imagine how desperately that person searched for the card until he found it.

Certainly, losing your ATM card is a serious matter. However, there is an even more serious matter. It is losing your soul. In Luke 12:16-20 Christ spoke this parable: The ground of a certain rich man yielded plentifully. And he thought within himself, saying, 'What shall I do, since I have no room to store my crops?' So he said, 'I will do this: I will pull down my barns and build greater, and there I will store all my crops and my goods. And I will say to my soul, "Soul, you have many goods laid up for many years; take your ease; eat, drink, and be merry." ' But God said to him, 'Fool! This night your soul will be required of you; then whose will those things be which you have provided ?

The rich man worked and achieved great success; however, he lost his soul, the very essence of man, so God called him a “fool.”

In Mark 8:36 Christ said, For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul ?

In Luke 9:25 it is written, For what is a man advantaged, if he gain the whole world, and lose himself ?

Probably all of you are being careful to not lose your ATM card. With the same zealousness let’s be careful lest we lose our soul. As soon as possible let’s believe in Jesus Christ who died on the cross to save our souls.
