華やかな天国

先日の日曜日に教会員はを新会堂の色を決めました。
正直に言って私はを新会堂の外壁や内装の壁やドアーや床の色を決める話合いを少し恐れていました。もし皆さんの意見が合わなければ、今まで教会員の間にあった一致がなくなるかも知れないと思ったからです。
そして、色を決める話合いは、とても楽しい時となりました。よく笑いながら、私たちは皆さんの意見が一致するまで、それぞれの色を決める事ができました。

今まで私は、教会員に数回言った事があります。「新会堂を建てる時、私はどのパチンコ屋にも負けないほどの派手な色にしますよ！」しかし、私達が決めた色はそんなに派手の色ではありません。とっても綺麗な教会になりますが、パチンコ屋の様な建物になりません。

しかし、神様が御自分のお住まいを造りられた時、それはとても華やかな所にしました。黙示録21:18によると、天国の城壁は碧玉で造られました。碧玉の色は青みがかった緑色です。
また、黙示録21:19-20を読むと、城壁の土台石のあらゆる宝石で飾られ、色は緑と青とオレンジと赤と黄色と紫だとわかります。
そして、21節によると天国の門は真珠で、道が透き通ったガラスのような純金でありました。

イエスキリストを信じている人々が行く天国は何と言う綺麗な所でしょうか。ヨハネの福音書14:2-3によると、今キリストは華やかな天国で私達の場所を備えておられます。その場所はどれほどの綺麗な場所であるか想像して見てください。

「まさしく、聖書に書いてあるとおりです。「目が見たことのないもの、耳が聞いたことのないもの、そして、人の心に思い浮かんだことのないもの。神を愛する者のために、神の備えてくださったものは、みなそうである。」

COLORFUL HEAVEN 

Last Sunday the church members decided on the colors of the new church. Speaking honestly, I was somewhat afraid of the discussion to choose the colors of the outside wall, the inside wall, the door, and the floor. If our opinions did not match, the unity that there has been among the church members for so long might be destroyed. However, the meeting to decide the colors turned out to be a delightful time. Laughing a lot, we were able to discuss the colors of the various things until we all agreed.

Until now I had told the members several times, “When we build the church. I am going to make as colorful as any of the pachinko parlors.” However, the colors we chose were not all that gaudy. It is going to be a very pretty church, but it will not be like a pachinko parlor.

However, when God created His home, He made it a very colorful place. According to Revelation 21:18, the walls of heaven will be made of jasper, a bluish-green color.

When we read verses 19-20, we understand that the foundation stones of the walls will be green and blue and orange and red and yellow and purple.

And, according to verse 21, the gates will be pearls and the street pure gold.

How beautiful will be the heaven where those who believe in Christ will go! According to John 14:2-3 Christ is building a place for us in this colorful heaven. Just imagine how beautiful this place will be.

But as it is written: "Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him."
