逆転できるクリスチャン

今年も広島カープがプロ野球セントラル・リーグで優勝しました。なんと驚く事に前期の84勝中カープは41回も逆転して勝ちました。カープはどうしてこんなに逆転できるチームになったのでしょうか。

新聞にこんな見出しがありました。
「悔しさが逆転のコイを育てた」去年カープは、日本シリーズで日本ハムに負けてしまいました。
その悔しさが今年の諦めないチームを育てました。

クリスチャンの信仰生活について同じ事が言えます。試練の悔しさは逆転できるクリスチャンを育てます。
Ⅰペテロの手紙5:10によると、堅く立つ事ができるクリスチャン、強いクリスチャン、動かされる事のないクリスチャンとはどんなクリスチャンでしょうか。
それは試練と苦しみの悔しさを知っているクリスチャンです。

「あらゆる恵みに満ちた神、すなわち、あなたがたをキリストにあってその永遠の栄光の中に招き入れてくださった神ご自身が、あなたがたをしばらくの苦しみのあとで完全にし、堅く立たせ、強くし、不動の者としてくださいます。」Ⅰペテロの手紙5:10

神様は、苦しみを通して諦めないで最後まで堪え忍ぶ強いクリスチャンを育てます。試練を通してクリスチャンは次の事を学びます。
①神様は、約束を守って下さいます。
②あらゆる時に私達は、神様に信頼する事ができます。
③神様は、私達を助ける力を充分持っておられます。
確かに、試練は悔しい経験です。
しかし、その試練を通してこの３つの真実を確信するクリスチャンは勝利の信仰生活ができるクリスチャンです。

「私たちは、私たちを愛してくださった方によって、これらすべてのことの中にあっても、圧倒的な勝利者となるのです。」ローマ人への手紙 8:37

　　　　

THE CHRISTIAN WHO CAN
　　　COME FROM BEHIND　

This year the Hiroshima Carp won the championship of pro baseball’s Central League again. Amazingly, 41 of the Carp’s first 84 wins were come-from-behind wins.

How did the Carp become this kind of come-from-behind team? There was this headline in the newspaper. [Vexation Brought About the Carp That Can Come from Behind] In last year’s Japan Series, the Carp lost to Nippon Ham. That vexation led to this year’s team that would never give up.

The same can be said of the faith-life of the Christian. It is the vexation of trials that brings up Christians who can come from behind. According to First Peter 5:10, who are the Christians that are established, strong, and settled? They are the Christians who know the vexation of trials and suffering.

May the God of all grace, who called us to His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a while, perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you.
(First Peter 5:10)

Through trials God raises up strong Christians who will never give up and fight to the finish. Through the trials Christians learn three things.
1-God will keep His promises.
2-We can trust God at all times.
3-God has sufficient power to help us.

Certainly, trials are vexing. However, the Christian who can be assured of these three truths is the Christian who can live a victorious faith-life.

In all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. (Romans 8:37)
