近づかないのが一番

日本の毒ヘビは、２種類であると思われています。マムシとハブです。
実は、もう１種類あり、ヤマカガシです。
ヤマカガシは本州・四国・九州等にごく普通に生息し、水田や池や川などで多く見られます。
一般の人がヤマカガシかどうか判断するのは難しいそうです。
「近づかないのが一番」と言われています。

罪に対するクリスチャンの態度は同じような態度であるべきです。
「近づかないのが一番」聖書に書いてあります。

「悪はどんな悪でも避けなさい。」
Ⅰテサロニケ人への手紙5:22

「愛する者たちよ。あなたがたにお勧めします。旅人であり寄留者であるあなたがたは、たましいに戦いをいどむ肉の欲を遠ざけなさい。」Ⅰペテロの手紙2:11

もし、あなたはある所にヤマカガシがいると分かったら、その所に近づきますか？　
やはり、自分の命を大切にする人はその所に近づきません。
同じように、主に喜ばれる生活をしたいクリスチャンは、自分を誘惑する罪がある所に近づきません。
また、クリスチャンは主に喜ばれない事をするように自分を誘惑する人々から離れるべきです。

箴言5:22に「曲がった者の道にはいばらとわながある。たましいを守る者はこれらから遠ざかる。」と書いてあります。

創世記39章で、私達はヨセフの模範を見る事ができます。罪を犯すように誘惑された時、彼は逃げました。私達もそうしましょう。

私たちを誘惑する罪があれば「ヤマカガシだ！ ヤマカガシだ！」と叫んで、すぐに遠ざけましょう。

　　　　

THE BEST THING TO DO IS NOT GO NEAR

It is thought that there are two poisonous snakes in Japan – the habu and the mamushi. Actually there is one more – the yamakagashi. There are many yamakagashi in Honshu, Shikoku, and Kyushu. They are often seen by lakes, paddies, and rivers. It is very difficult for the average person to tell if a snake is a yamakagashi or not, so it is said that the best thing to do is to not go near a snake.

The attitude of the Christian toward sin should be the same attitude. In the Bible, it is written,
Abstain from every form of evil.
(First Thessalonians 5:22)

Beloved, I beg you as sojourners and pilgrims, abstain from fleshly lusts which war against the soul.
(First Peter 2:11)

If you knew that there was a yamakagashi in a certain place, would you go near that place? A person who makes his life important would not go near that place. In the same way, a Christian wo wants to live a life that is pleasing to the Lord will not go near places where there are sins that tempt him.

Also, a Christian will stay away from people who tempt him to do things that are not pleasing to the Lord. In Proverbs 22:5 it is written,
Thorns and snares are in the way of the perverse; He who guards his soul will be far from them.

In chapter 39 of Genesis we can see the example of Joseph. When he was tempted to sin, he fled. Let’s do the same thing. When there is a sin that tempts us, let’s scream, “It’s a yamakagashi! It’s a yamakagashi!” and get as far away from it as possible.
