ＯＫです！

このメッセージは、クリスティ先生の許可を得て書きました。

私はクリスティ先生を飯塚市の自動車試験場に４回連れて行きました。４回とも彼女は自動車運転免許の実地試験に落ちました。１回目落ちた時、彼女は泣きました。２回・３回・４回目は泣く事はなかったけど、とても落ち込んで帰りました。
５回目の試験が終わった時、試験官は彼女に「自動車から降りてください」と言いました。「また落ちたか！」と思ったが、試験官は「ＯＫです！」と言いました。その瞬間に彼女はその時までの涙と挫折を忘れて、彼女の顔は喜びで満ち溢れていました。

この光景を見た時、私はマタイの福音書25章に書いてあるキリストの例え話を思い出しました。
一人の主人は三人のしもべ達にお金を渡して、旅に出て行きました。その内の二人は主人のお金を増やす事ができたので、彼等に言いました。
「よくやった。良い忠実なしもべだ」

同じように、ひとり一人のクリスチャンは主から受けた賜物を持って主に栄光を与える事と主に喜ばれる生き方を望んでいます。しかし、うまくいかない時があります。落ち込む時があります。泣く時もあります。

しかし、私たちが力を尽くして、忠実に主に仕えるなら、クリスチャンに最高の喜びを与えるこの言葉を聞く事でしょう。
「よくやった。良い忠実なしもべだ。ＯＫです！」
その時、私たちは信仰生活のすべての試練や失敗や涙を忘れて、この上もない喜びを感じるでしょう。

「わたしのために、ののしられたり、迫害されたり、また、ありもしないことで、悪口雑言を言われたりするとき、あなたがたは幸いです。喜びなさい。喜びおどりなさい。天においてあなたがたの報いは大きいのだから。」

YOU DID OKAY

I took Cristy Wyatt to the driver’s license bureau four times. She failed all four times. When she failed the first time, she cried. She did not cry the second, third, and fourth times, but she went home frustrated.

When the fifth test was over, she was told to get out of the car. She thought she had failed again. But the examiner said, “You did OK.” In that instant, she forgot all about the tears and frustration. Her face was overflowing with joy.

When I saw this, I remembered the parable of Christ in chapter 25 of Matthew. A master gave money to three of his servants and went on a trip. Two of them were able to increase his money, so he said to them, “Well done, thou good and faithful servant.”

In the same way, Christians desire to use the talent that God has given them to bring glory to His name and live a life that is pleasing to Him. However, there are times when we do not succeed. There are times when we are frustrated. There are times when we cry.

However, if we faithfully serve the Lord with all our strength, we too will hear the words that bring the greatest joy to Christians. “Well done, thou good and faithful servant. You did OK.” When we hear those words, we shall forget all about the trials, the failures, and the tears and sense the most wonderful joy.

Blessed are you when they revile and persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely for My sake. Rejoice and be exceedingly glad, for great is your reward in heaven.
