有毒なミルク

5月の24日、インドでとても悲劇的な出来事がありました。
女性が就寝中に毒ヘビに噛まれました。彼女はその事に気付かずに起きて、それから娘に母乳を飲ませました。そのミルクにヘビの毒が含まれていたので、2人とも共に亡くなりました。

この悲しい記事を読み、私はその時アダムとエバの事を思い出しました。神様は彼らを創造して、エデンの園に置きました。園の中に“善悪の知識の木”という木がありました。
神様はアダムとエバに言われました。「善悪の知識の木からは取って食べてはならない。それを取って食べるその時、あなたはかならず死ぬ。」 創世記2:17
しかし、アダムとエバは神様の命令を無視して、その実を食べてしまいました。

その結果はローマ人への手紙5:12に書いてあります。
「そういうわけで、ちょうどひとりの人によって罪が世界にはいり、罪によって死がはいり、こうして死が全人類に広がったのと同様に、――それというのも全人類が罪を犯したからです。」

インドの子供がお母さんから毒を受けたと同じように、全人類はアダムとエバから罪と言う毒を受けました。インドのお母さんと子供は死にましたが私たちは死ななくてもいいのです。

同じローマ人への手紙の5章にこう書いてあります。
「もしひとりの違反によって多くの人が死んだとすれば、それにもまして、神の恵みとひとりの人イエス・キリストの恵みによる賜物とは、多くの人々に満ちあふれるのです。」ローマ人への手紙の5:17

ハレルヤ！　私たちには罪の毒が入っていますが、十字架の上で私たちの罪のために死んでくださったキリストを信じる事によって、私たちは救われます。
「罪から来る報酬は死です。しかし、神の下さる賜物は、私たちの主キリスト・イエスにある永遠のいのちです。」ローマ人への手紙6:23

　　　 

POISON MILK　

On the 24th of last month there was a tragic event in India. While she was sleeping, a lady was bitten by a poisonous snake, but she did not realize it. After she awoke, she breastfed her child. There was poison in the milk, and both the mother and the child died.

When I read this article, I immediately remembered the experience of Adam and Eve. God created them and placed them in the Garden of Eden. In that garden there was a tree called “the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.” God said to Adam and Eve,
But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it; for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.
(Genesis 2:17)

However, Adam and Eve ignored the command of God and ate the fruit of the tree. The result is written in Romans 5:12.
Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned.

Just as the child in India received poison from her mother, all mankind received a poison called sin from Adam and Eve. The mother and child in India died, but we do not have to die. In the same chapter 5 of Romans, we find these words in verse 17.
For if by one man’s offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.

Hallelujah! We have the poison of sin in us, but by believing in Christ who died on the cross for our sins, we are saved.
For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
