天国での食事

日曜日の夜、教会の方の家でとても楽しい食事会がありました。
数時間、私たちは食べたり飲んだり笑ったりして楽しみました。
奥様は豪華な食事を作ってくださいました。

日本のカレー、マレーシアのカレー、インドのカレーと3種類ありました。 私は初めてマレーシアのカレーとインドのカレーを食べました。 とってもおしかった。
「ナン」と言うインドのパンもサラダもありました。
お腹がいっぱいになった時、スイカとシュークリームも出ました。もう何も食べられないと思った時、遅れて来た家族は、お土産にサンドイッチとプリンを持って来てくれました。
お腹はおいしい食物で満たされ、魂は皆さんとの交わりによって励まされました。

食事の途中、ある兄弟がこの質問をしました。
「私達は、天国で食事をしますか？」
マタイの福音書8:11に
「あなたがたに言いますが、たくさんの人が東からも西からも来て、天の御国で、アブラハム、イサク、ヤコブといっしょに食卓に着きます。」と書いてあります。

また、黙示録19:6-9によると、キリストの空中再臨後の最初の出来事は「小羊の婚宴」です。
また、私は大群衆の声、大水の音、激しい雷鳴のようなものが、こう言うのを聞いた。「ハレルヤ。万物の支配者である、われらの神である主は王となられた。 私たちは喜び楽しみ、神をほめたたえよう。小羊の婚姻の時が来て、花嫁はその用意ができたのだから。 花嫁は、光り輝く、きよい麻布の衣を着ることを許された。その麻布とは、聖徒たちの正しい行ないである。」 御使いは私に「小羊の婚宴に招かれた者は幸いだ、と書きなさい。」

現在と違って、天国で私たちは生きるために食べないが、神の子羊であるイエス・キリストとの最高の食事会で一緒に食物と飲みものを頂きます。神様がキリストを信じた全ての人々のために用意してくださる食事を想像して見てください。

　　　 

A MEAL IN HEAVEN　

Last Sunday afternoon there was a delightful meal at the home of Brother and Sister Koh. For several hours we ate and drank and laughed. Sister Koh prepared a splendid meal. There was Japanese curry and Malaysian curry and Indian curry. It was the first time for me to eat Malaysian curry and Indian curry. They were very delicious.

There was also an Indian bread called nan and some salad. When I was already quite full, they brought out watermelon and cream puffs. Just when I thought I could not eat any more, some people who came late brought sandwiches and pudding. My stomach enjoyed the delicious food and my soul was encouraged by the fellowship.

During the meal someone asked,
“Will we eat in heaven?”
In Matthew 8:11 Jesus said,
Many will come from east and west, and sit down with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob in the kingdom of heaven. (In the Japanese Bible it says, “sit down at the table.”)

Also, according Revelation 19:6-7,
the next thing after the in-the-air second coming of Christ is the “Marriage Supper of the Lamb.”
And I heard, as it were, the voice of a great multitude, as the sound of many waters and as the sound of mighty thunderings, saying, "Alleluia! For the Lord God Omnipotent reigns! Let us be glad and rejoice and give Him glory, for the marriage of the Lamb has come, and His wife has made herself ready." And to her it was granted to be arrayed in fine linen, clean and bright, for the fine linen is the righteous acts of the saints. Then he said to me, "Write: 'Blessed are those who are called to the marriage supper of the Lamb!

Different from now, we will not eat to stay alive.
We shall eat and drink together at the greatest meal of all, the marriage supper of Jesus Christ, the Lamb of God. Imagine the meal that God shall prepare for all people who believe in Christ.
