28,000回の罪

私は1942年4月13日に生まれました。今日は2018年12月16日です。私が生まれた日から1日に一つの罪を犯した事としましょう。本当は1日に一つ以上の罪を犯した事があるでしょう。
もし私が今まで1日に一つだけの罪を犯したとすれば、もうすでに約28,000回の罪を犯しています！

28,000回の罪！ この事を考えると、エペソ人への手紙1:7に書いてある御言葉はとても尊いものです。
「私たちは、この御子のうちにあって、御子の血による贖い、すなわち罪の赦しを受けているのです。これは神の豊かな恵みによることです。」

私は28,000回の罪を犯したひどい罪人ですが御子（イエス・キリスト）は、十字架の上で私の28,000回の罪を全部御自分の身に負われました。（Ⅰペテロの手紙2:24）キリストが十字架の上で流した血によって、私は罪の赦しを受けました。

イエス・キリストを個人的な救い主として受け入れた皆さんもそうです。 もし皆さんも過去に毎日、平均一つの罪を犯して来たなら、あなたの罪の数を計算して見て下さい。いくつになりますか。 数多くの罪になりますが喜んで下さい。キリストの身代りの死と神様の愛によって、あなたも罪の赦しを受けています。

しかし、この素晴らしい祝福には責任が付いています。
「神がキリストにおいてあなたがたを赦してくださったように、互いに赦し合いなさい。」エペソ人への手紙4:32
もし神様が私達の多くの罪を赦す事ができたなら、私たちも他人の一つや二つの罪を赦す事が出来るのではないでしょうか？

28,000 Sins　

I was born on April 13, 1942. Today is December 16, 2018. Let’s imagine that, from the day I was born, I have committed one sin a day. Actually, I probably have committed more than one sin a day. However, if I have committed just one sin a day until now, I have already committed about 28,000 sins!

28,000 sins! When I think about this, the words in Ephesians 1:7 become very precious words.

In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace. (Ephesians 1:7)
I am a terrible sinner who has committed 28,000 sins, but on the cross Christ bore all my sins in His own body. (First Peter 2:24) Through the blood that Jesus shed on the cross, I have received the forgiveness of sins.

So have all of you who have received Christ as your personal Savior. If you too have committed an average of one sin a day, calculate the number of your sins. How many would it be? It will be many sins, but rejoice. Through the substitutionary death of Christ and the grace of God, you too have received the forgiveness of sins.

However, there is a responsibility that accompanies this wonderful blessing.
Forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you. (Ephesians 4:32)
If God can forgive our many sins, can we not forgive the one or two sins of another person?
