沖縄からの贈り物

玄関のチャイムが鳴ったのでドアを開けると大きな箱を持っている宅配人がいました。
私はこんなに大きな宅配便を注文した覚えがなかったので、とてもビックリしました。
荷物の宛名ラベルを見ると、その荷物は沖縄教会からの贈り物だとわかりました。
荷物を開けた瞬間、またビックリしました。
多くの食物が入っていました。クッキー・ルートビア・ポップコーン・スープ・マフィン・ビーフシチュー・缶詰・ナチョス・カレー・パンとクラッカー等が入っていました。

贈り物の内容を見た時、とても嬉しかった。なぜなら今度4名のアメリカ人が一週間ほど私の家に泊まるからです。彼らのために食料品・お菓子・飲み物等を買わなければならないからです。しかし沖縄からの贈り物が届いたので、買物は少なくてすみます。

箱の中に入っていた食物を一つずつ出しながら、私はキリストの山上の説教の中の言葉を思い出しました。
「何を食べるか、何を飲むか、何を着るか、などと言って心配するのはやめなさい。あなたがたの天の父は、それがみなあなたがたに必要であることを知っておられます。」
マタイの福音書6:31-32

神様は私の必要をすでに知っておられたので、沖縄教会を通して食物を備えてくださいました。
クリスチャンの皆さん、神様はもうすでにあなたの必要も知っておられるので、心配する必要がありません。

マタイの福音書6:33に
書いてある言葉を信じて安心してください。
「だから、神の国とその義とをまず第一に求めなさい。そうすれば、それに加えて、これらのものはすべて与えられます。」

　　　 

GIFTS FROM OKINAWA　

When I heard the doorbell ring, I opened the door and saw a Yamato deliveryman holding a large box. I did not remember ordering anything that large, so I was surprised. When I looked at the label, I saw that the package was from the Okinawa Bible Baptist Church.

When I opened the package, I was surprised again. There were many things in the box. There were cookies, root beer, popcorn, soup, muffins, beef stew, canned goods, nachos, curry, bread, and crackers.

When I saw what was in the box, I rejoiced greatly. This week four Americans will stay at my home, so I need to buy food, snacks, and drinks. Because I have the gifts from Okinawa, I will not have to buy very much.

As I took each thing out of the box, I remembered some words in the sermon that Christ preached on the mountain.
Therefore, do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things.
God already knew what I needed, so He provided it through the Okinawa church.

Christian, God already knows your needs too, so there is no need for you to worry.
Believe the words in Matthew 6:33 and be at ease.
But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
