勘違いしたドア

水曜日の夜に教会に着いた時、私は驚きました。
なぜなら、新しい物置が無くなっていたからです。
私は集会に来た彼らに伝えました。
「新しい物置が無くなりましたよ！」彼らは驚いて窓に近づいて外をみました。新しい物置はありました。

彼らは、おかしな目で私を見ていました。
「ボード先生は気が狂っている」と思ったに違いありません。
私はとても当惑していました。

集会が終わってから、私は新しい物置が本当にあるかどうか確かめに行きました。
すると分かりました。もう一つの別ドアを見ていました。
私は物置のドアと新しい増築部屋に入るドアとを見間違っていました。
私が見たドアは新しい増築部屋に入るドアではなく、物置に入るドアでした。
私は、その勘違いしたドアのために、とても恥ずかしい思いをしました。

私と同じように勘違いしたドアを見ている人が沢山います。
例えば、ある宗教のドアを見て、それが天国に入るドアだと思っている人がいます。
しかし、誰もその宗教の規則を守る事によって天国に入る事はできません。

また、ある人は良い行いのドアを見て、それが天国に入るドアだと思っています。
しかし、聖書によると誰も良い行いによって天国に入る事は出来ません。エペソ人への手紙2:8-9

天国に入るドアは一つしかありません。
イエス・キリストを信じる信仰のドアです。
ヨハネの福音書14:6で
キリストは、はっきりと言われました。
「わたしが道であり、真理であり、いのちなのです。わたしを通してでなければ、だれひとり父のみもとに来ることはありません。」

また、ヨハネの福音書10:9でキリストは言われました。
「わたしは門です。だれでも、わたしを通ってはいるなら、救われます。」

　　　 


THE WRONG DOOR　

When I went to church Wednesday night, I was amazed. The church’s new shed was gone. I told the people who came to the service, “The new shed is gone.” They were surprised and went to the window to see. The new shed was still there.

They all looked at me with strange eyes. They must have been thinking, “Pastor Board has lost his mind.” I myself was quite bewildered.

After the service, I went to see if the shed was really there. I realized I had been looking at the wrong door. I thought the door to the shed was the door to the new building; however, the door I had seen was not the door to the new building but the door to the shed. Because I looked at the wrong door, I had a very embarrassing experience.

There are a lot of people looking at the wrong door just as I did. For example, they look at the door of religion and think that it is the door to heaven. However, no one can enter heaven by keeping the rules of their religion.

Other people look at the door of good works and think it is the door to heaven. However, according to the Bible, no one can enter heaven through the door of good works.
(Ephesians 2:8-9)

There is only one door that goes to heaven. That door is faith in Jesus Christ.
In John 14:6 Christ said,
I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.

Also, in John 10:9 Christ said,
I am the door. If anyone enters by me, he will be saved.
