彼らは一番大切なものを忘れました

メッセージ

一人の姉妹が本棚を教会に寄付する事にしたので、日曜日の午後に私たちは、車３台でそれを取りに行きました。
１台に姉妹は乗って、もう１台に２人の兄弟が乗って、そして２人の兄弟と私は自分の大型ワゴン車に乗りました。

姉妹と２人の兄弟は先に出発しました。私は少し遅れて出ました。先に出発した２台の車は、私を待ってくれると思って行って見ると、そこには車はありませんでした。彼らは、私が姉妹の家の場所を知っていると思っていたようです。
しかし私は、まだ一度も彼女の家に行った事がなかったので道順は分かりませんでした。

彼らは、私が後からついて来ない事に気付いて戻って来ると思っていましたが誰も戻って来なく置き去りにされました。
私は、一人の兄弟に電話して「道が分かりませんよ。私の大型ワゴン車がないと、本棚を積んで運ぶ事ができないでしょう！」といいました。彼はすぐ戻って来て、私を姉妹の家まで案内してくれました。

本棚を取りに行った彼らは一番大切なもの、それは私の大型ワゴン車を忘れてしまいました。

自分の人生において一番大切なものを忘れている人々もいます。仕事や教会で働いているうちに彼らは自分のたましいの大切さを忘れています。

生活に必要なものを蓄えたが自分のたましいの大切さを忘れてしまったお金持ちにキリストは言われました。
『愚か者。おまえのたましいは、今夜おまえから取り去られる。そうしたら、おまえが用意した物は、いったいだれのものになるのか。』ルカの福音書12:20

この世のものは、全部消えてしまう一時的なものです。永遠に生きる人間のたましいは最も大切なものです。
「人は、たとい全世界を得ても、たましいを損じたら、何の得がありましょう。」マルコの福音書8:36

　　　

THEY FORGOT THE MOST
　　　　IMPORTANT THING

One of the ladies of the church decided to give a bookshelf to the church, so on Sunday afternoon we went in three cars to get it. She rode in the first car, two men rode in the second car, and two men and I rode in my van.

The lady and the two men left first. I was a little slow in leaving, but I thought they would wait for me; however, when I got to the road, they were not there. They thought I knew the way to her house, but I have never been to her house before, so I did not know the way.

I thought they would notice that I was not following them and return, but no one came back. I called the cell phone of one of the men. “I do not know the way. Without my van, you will not be able to bring the bookcase.” He returned right away and led me to her house.

They went to get the bookshelf, but they forgot the most important thing, my van. There are people who forget the most important thing in their lives too. While being diligent in work or education, they forget the importance of their soul.

Christ said to a rich man who gathered the things he needed for living but forgot the importance of his soul,
Fool! This night your soul will be required of you; then whose will those things be which you have provided? (Luke 12:20)

All the things of this world are temporary things that will vanish away. The soul of man that shall live forever is the most important thing.
What will it profit a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul? (Mark 8:36)
