美しい花嫁

先週、私は招待されて結婚式に出席しました。
とても美しい花嫁でした。彼女は素敵なウェディングドレスを着ていたし、顔はきれいにお化粧をしていました。

もし、花嫁の結婚式が次のような姿であったならば、どうなると思いますか。
ウェディングドレスの代わりに彼女はボロボロの服を着ています。靴は古いサンダルです。髪は、その朝、起きた時のままです。顔には化粧を全くしていません。
もし、花嫁がこの姿で花婿の前に現れたならば、彼は彼女の事をとても恥ずかしいと思うに違いありません。

エペソ人への手紙5 章の中で、キリストとクリスチャンの関係は夫婦の関係と例えられています。
キリストは花婿です。クリスチャンは彼の花嫁です。
黙示録19:7 によると全てのクリスチャンは、キリストの婚姻に行きます。
その時、私たちの衣は「きよい麻布の衣」です。
8 節によると、そのきよい麻布の衣は「聖徒たちの正しい行いである。」

もし、キリストの花嫁である私たちが、キリストの婚姻に着る衣は、私たちの正しい行いであれば、私たちはコロサイ人への手紙1:10 に書いてあるとおりに「主にかなった歩みをして、あらゆる点で主に喜ばれ、あらゆる善行のうちに実を結びましょう。」

キリストの婚姻にいくとき、あなたは花嫁のように美しいウェディングドレスのような衣を着ますか。あるいは、ボロボロのきよくない衣でしょうか。

　　　 

BEAUTIFUL BRIDE 

Last week I attended the wedding of Katayama and Kaoru. Kaoru was a beautiful bride. Her wedding dress was elegant, and her makeup was pretty.

What do you think would have happened if Kaoru appeared at the wedding in the following condition? She is wearing ragged clothing instead of a wedding dress. Her shoes are old sandals. Her hair is still the way it was when she woke up in the morning. She has no makeup on her face. If she had appeared before Katayama in that condition, it is for certain that he would have been ashamed of her.

In chapter 5 of Ephesians the relationship of Christ and the Christian is compared to the relationship of a couple. Christ is the bridegroom and the Christian is His bride. According to Revelation 19:7, all Christians will attend the marriage supper of Christ. At that time, our clothing will be fine linen, clean and white. According to verse 8, the fine linen is the righteousness of the saints. (“Righteous works” in the Japanese Bible.)

If the garment that Christians, who are the bride of Christ, will wear to the marriage supper of Christ is our righteous works, just as it is written in Colossians 1:10, Let us walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing Him, being fruitful in every good work

When you go to the marriage supper of Christ, will you wear a beautiful garment like the wedding dress of Kaoru, or will you wear a ragged, unclean garment?
