神様からのプレゼントを開けましょう！

私は、このメッセージを12月24日に書いています。

今日は、クリスマス・イブの朝です。このメッセージを書いて、クリスマスプレゼントを開けるつもりです。普通は、クリスマスの日まで待つのですが明日、鹿児島まで旅行に行くのでプレゼントを空ける時間がないので今日、開けます。娘たちからのプレゼン・ワイエット先生達からのプレゼント・教会の方からのプレゼントがあるので私は、とても興奮しています。

皆さんは、クリスマスのプレゼントをすでに開けたと思いますが神様のプレゼントを開けることを忘れないでください。神様は、私たちにどんなプレゼントをくださるでしょうか。

まず、神様は導きを与えてくださいます。このプレゼントを開ける方法は箴言3:5～6に書いてあります。
「心を尽くして主に拠り頼め。自分の悟りにたよるな。あなたの行く所どこにおいても、主を認めよ。そうすれば、主はあなたの道をまっすぐにされる。」

神様は、日々の必要なものを与えてくださいます。このプレゼントを開ける方法は、マタイの福音書6:31節と33節に書いてあります。
「そういうわけだから、何を食べるか、何を飲むか、何を着るか、などと言って心配するのはやめなさい。神の国とその義とをまず第一に求めなさい。そうすれば、それに加えて、これらのものはすべて与えられます。」

神様は、平安を与えてくださいます。このプレゼントを開ける方法は、ピリピ人への手紙4:6～7に書いてあります。
「何も思い煩わないで、あらゆるばあいに、感謝をもってささげる祈りと願いによって、あなたがたの願い事を神に知っていただきなさい。そうすれば、人のすべての考えにまさる神の平安が、あなたがたの心と思いをキリスト・イエスにあって守ってくれます。」

私たちは、クリスマスプレゼントをクリスマスの日だけ開けますが、幸いなことに私たちは、神様のプレゼントを毎日開けることができます。

　　　  

LET’S OPEN GOD’S PRESENTS　

(I wrote this message on the 24th.)

Today is Christmas Eve morning. After I write this message, I am going to open my Christmas presents. Usually I open my presents on Christmas, but I am going to drive to Kagoshima tomorrow, so I will not have time to open my presents; therefore, I shall open them today. I have presents from my daughters, presents from the Wyatts, and presents from church people, so I am very excited.

I think you have opened your Christmas presents already, but do not forget to open your presents from God. What kind of presents does God give us.

First, He gives us guidance. Proverbs 3:5-6 teaches us how to open this present.
Trust in the LORD with all your heart,and lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.

Second, He gives us our daily needs. Matthew 6 verses 31 and 33 teach us how to open this present.
Therefore do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Third, He gives us peace. Philippians 4:6-7 teaches us how to open this present.  Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

We open Christmas presents only in December, but happily, we can open the presents of God every day.
