モンスター

私は、リビングルームの窓から外を見ました。
すると、きれいな花が咲いています。
鳥の美しい鳴き声が聞こえます。
太陽は、輝いています。もう春です。
外に出て、新鮮な空気を吸って楽しみたい気持ちですが、出て行けません。
なぜなら、外には、新型コロナウイルスと言うモンスターが猛威を振るっているからです。
多くの人々の命を奪ったモンスターです。
全世界の人々の心に恐怖心を抱かせたモンスターです。

現在、北九州市に住んでいる私たちは、ウイルスの存在を無視して、いつものように生活しています。
しかし、先週の火曜日に北九州市で10名の感染者が確認され、そして翌日には、さらに17名の感染者が確認されました。
モンスターが近づいて来ています。
これから私たちもこのウイルスの対策を真剣に考えなければなりません。
なぜなら、北九州市でウイルスの患者がどんどん増えたなら、私たちの生活にも教会の集会にも大きな影響を与えます。

こんな時こそ私たちは、お互いの愛と関心が大切になります。
まず、日々教会の皆さんの健康のために祈りましょう。
そして、ウイルスに感染したら、すぐSNSなどで知らせてください。SNSを利用していない兄弟と姉妹に時々電話して、様子を聞きましょう。

現在の危機は、私たちに言葉や口先だけの愛ではなく、行いと真実を持ってお互いに愛し合う機会を与えます。（Ⅰヨハネの手紙3:18）

「神があなたがたの互いの間の愛を、またすべての人に対する愛を増させ、満ちあふれさせてくださいますように。」Ⅰテサロニケ人への手紙3:12

　　　 

THE MONSTER　

I looked outside from my living room window. Pretty flowers are blooming. I can hear the beautiful song of the birds. The sun is shining. It is spring. I feel like going outside and enjoying the fresh air, but I do not go because there is a monster called Corona-virus waiting outside. It is a monster that has taken the lives of many people. It is a monster that has struck terror into the hearts of people all around the world.

Until recently those of us who live in Kitakyushu City have ignored the existence of the virus and lived normal lives. However, on Tuesday 10 people were confirmed to be infected with the virus and on Wednesday the infection of 17 more people was confirmed in Kitakyushu City. The monster has come near to us. Now we too must seriously consider countermeasures against the virus. If the number of patients continues to increase in Kitakyushu City, it will have an effect on our lives and on the church services.

In a time such as this our love and concern for one another becomes very important. First of all, let’s pray daily for the health of all of the people of the church. If you are infected with the virus, please notify us on the church line, and from time to time let’s call those who are not on the line and check on their condition.

This crisis gives us an opportunity to love one another not with just our words but also with our deeds. (First John 3:18)

May the Lord may your love increase and overflow for each other and for everyone else.
